Really goooood food but service is slow
Submitted Saturday, April 10, 2010 - 8:01pm [Dine in]

My husband and I LOVE going to Chop...especially when they have their lobster/king crab deals. Food is always good there and the ambiance is lovely, The only thing negative I can say is that the service is a bit slow. Food always takes a while but it never fails to taste good. I really recommend this place for date nights and also for hot summer days as their outdoor seating so REALLLLY beautiful.

Great wedding venue!!!
Submitted Saturday, April 10, 2010 - 7:57pm [Dine in]

My husband and I had our wedding here (in their bigger banquet room) in July 2009. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Lakeside Grill and BOY was the food good!! The portion to price ratio was phenomenal! ALL our guests were SOO full after the meal and very satisfied with the quality. We felt proud to have treated our wedding party, family and friends to such an awesome rehearsal dinner meal. We really didn't know what to expect at the restaurant but we were really surprised. The food for our wedding was also top notch. ALL our guests raved about the food selection (we went with the highest menu choice for the wedding) and the presentation of the food was also fantastic. I heard that recently there was a fire at this venue and that they won't be opened for a while and that sucks because my husband and I were planning to go back here for our 1 year anniversary dinner together but that's ok. I hope they get it back up really soon because this is really a great place to go eat at...even if you're not playing golf. The view from the restaurant is also gorgeous!

THE best place for non-all you can eat late night sushi!
Submitted Saturday, April 10, 2010 - 7:52pm [Dine in]

I LOVE this place for late night sushi. Not only are their late night prices VERY good the service and food is great. We're regulars here and have our own preferred server but ALL the other servers are awesome and food is always fast and fresh. Be prepared to wait a little bit for a seat though....they're usually jammed packed for their late night menu.

Both food and service were top notch!

Went here for a birthday dinner and the service was great. The ONLY thing was that out of the 8 of us only 1 of us were asked to do a coat check when we arrived. The rest of us had to sit with bulky coats lying around but that's about it as far as the 'bad'. Food was really good and server was very helpful with drinks selection. Would definitely go back again! If you haven't tried it you should go....but food IS on the expensive side so just be prepared for that.

Worst Service Ever!
Submitted Sunday, January 24, 2010 - 3:50pm [Dine in]

My friend and I had our 26th/27th birthday dinner there (13 of us all together). Not only did they mess up our reservations (instead of 13 seats they had us down for 10). One friend arrived first and called me so I call the restaurant back telling them there are 13 of us coming so they had better make room for more. They did and I was happy with that part of their service. We got there and no one offered us coat check (except for me when I arrived) and we had with us a birthday cake. They told us that they were going to charge us $5 a head to serve the cake (now I understand some restaurants do this but we were not informed about the additional costs until we arrived). So they just offered to keep the cake in their fridge for us until we left. That too was tolerable because it was just poor communication. During dinner, my friends and I were having a conversation about their mini tabasco sauce bottle (it was literally 1.5 inches tall!). My friend told us she'd seen them on airplanes before where people sat in first class and had fine dining served to them. The waitress was pouring water for us and over heard the word 'FINE DINING' and she immediately corrected us saying 'Um no this is CASUAL dining'. We just sat there thinking....ok????? Over the night we repeatedly saw the same waitress rolling her eyes as she left the room we were in. We just really felt looked down upon....not something we should feel considering we were paying over $75 a person for meals. We felt really pressured to order drinks when most of us didn't feel up to it and we pretty much felt like they thought we were teenagers eating there (my friends and I DO look young...but still). No respect or sincerity at all in the service. Food was good but service was so bad I wouldn't go back there again unless I was forced.
