We followed the advice of some neighbours, and are sure glad that we did. We have become regulars at this cafe. How often do you find a cafe with a real chef preparing the food?! The kids love the chili, which is always available. There is always a homemade soup, and a variety of truly special meals on the specials board.

The first evening we went in there, I had to look twice to make sure that I was really seeing prawns and tilapia for under $12. Then, I held my breath to see if I had made a mistake ordering prawns at a cafe. No mistake - the meal was great. This cafe has its roots as a doughnut shop, and the doughnuts are great too. But for us, the other food overshadows the doughnuts. If you see shepherds pie on the specials menu, give it a try.

We do want this cafe to succeed. What a gem to have in your neighbourhood.
