Persian food. Not bad for dine out
Submitted Sunday, January 22, 2012 - 8:40am [Dine in]

Went to this restaurant with my friend. We did not know that they had dine out menu that evening so we tried this. Parking is hard to find but we were very lucky. Food was not bad. We had the salad and hommus for appy. Tried the lamb shank and chicken for entree. The lamb was good but fatty. The saffron ice was very good but the balacava was so so. The place was busy and we did not have to wait for a table. It was late when we got there. I did not get a chance to look at their regular menu but would go back. They also had many Veg options.

Overpriced for what you get
Submitted Wednesday, December 14, 2011 - 12:46am [Dine in]

Went to Cioppino for lunch. This restaurant is not open for lunch and they only do dinners. It was not very busy at lunch time. Service was good and food was not bad. It was very expensive. It's a good thing that i was not paying otherwise I would have not been happy. It's overrated for what they serve. Their coffee was average. The portions were small and it cost us about $250 for lunch without drinks. I think there are much better restaurants in the city if you want to pay this kind of money. Parking was also hard to find.

Not worth the money for breakfast
Submitted Saturday, December 10, 2011 - 2:16pm [Dine in]

Went to this place before shopping on Saturday morning. It was busy but we were seated right away. No wait. Got our coffee and ordered breakfast. Got french toast with eggs and hashbrowns. Nothing fancy about this. I was surpised as to what they charge. The breakfast cost us $36 for two. This is expensive for a very average breakfast. The french toast were ok and eggs were small. I will not go back. I must say that the service was good but the food was very average. We did not get any other drinks other than coffee. I thought this place was known for it's breakfast. There are much better places to go if you want to pay $40 for breakfast.

Food was good. Service was ok
Submitted Sunday, November 20, 2011 - 11:17pm [Dine in]

Went to James Street Grill for lunch. Had their meat platter and butter chicken. Both were very good. Also had their Mogo for appy which was good. Had chai and raas mal for dessert. It was a bit expensive for lunch as Indian/African food should not cost this much. I liked the food and they were not too busy at lunch time. I think maybe if we had their specials then these would have been fine also. I will go back.

Good Pub Food
Submitted Monday, October 31, 2011 - 2:02pm [Dine in]

Went to this pub for Sunday afternoon meal. Had the chicken wrap and my friend had the Brie burger. Both were very good and service was good. Got our meals and drinks very quickly. I would go back. They had a 2 pieces of fish and chips for $5.99. Lots of people were ordering and they looked good but we did not have this. I think i may try their wing night as this sounds like a good deal. I think they are 39cents for wings. They place was not full but it was sunday afternoon. Lots of TV's and lots of football being played. Coffee was not bad also. The waitress was excellent.

Good Cheap Thai food
Submitted Wednesday, May 25, 2011 - 1:32pm [Dine in]

Went to Days for late lunch and they have specials until 5pm. You can get your main dish with rice and spring roll. The food was very tasty. This is a hole in wall so don't expect much here. The booths and table are very 70's look. The service was ok. There was only one other table occupied. The food came very quickly and it was very tasty. I will go back and the price is right for this place. Had the chicken with cashews and basil beef. Their curries looked good but will try this next time.

Inexpensive breakfast - Burnaby
Submitted Tuesday, May 24, 2011 - 12:49pm [Dine in]

Went on the sunday morning prior to the hockeye game. They have a breakfast special for $3.95 and you get 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon or susage. I did not have any meat so they offered an extra egg or more hashbrowns. The breakfast was not bad but what do you expect for $3.95. Coffee was not bad. They had many other options and I will try these next time. i like this place compared to Bon's off Broadway. I will try a sandwich next time or other breakfast items. They also had steak and eggs for $7.95. Looked like many of the patrons were regulars there.

Good Appy's
Submitted Monday, April 18, 2011 - 10:28am [Dine in]

Went here for lunch on the weekend. The atmopshere is not that great. Paper plates etc. Their appy's were good and the service was good. I thought it was a bit expensive for what they gave you. Their mogo was good and beef balls. They gave a good coconut chutney with it. Looks like lots of take out orders. It's in a strip mall so parking is difficult.

Good Food but loud place
Submitted Tuesday, April 5, 2011 - 4:40pm [Dine in]

Went for a quick dinner on saturday night. The place was busy and we were seated promtly. The atmosphere is good but the place is too loud. I had the pesto shrimp pasta and my friend had the steak sandwich. Both were very good. I really liked my pesto pasta as there was lots of garlic and olive oil. Nice drinking place if you just want to relax but it is loud. The pizza looked good so i would get this next time. Prices were reasonable.

Went for a quick meal before the hockey game. Had the Lamp chops, Chicken skewers and Najib's. It all came out quickly and food was excellent. The restaurant was not too busy when we got there but just as we were leaving it was busy. Great find and good food. Lots of choices and if you don't want to eat a big meal then this is good place. I will be back

Went to baseline for quick lunch on saturday afternoon. The place was not busy as there was only a soccer game on. My friend ordered the mushroom cheese burger and I ordered the chicken burger and both were very good. The fries were just ok and did not like them. The price was right and the service was not bad. The place was not packed. If i need a quick lunch then maybe visit again.

Good Chinese food on Robson
Submitted Friday, March 11, 2011 - 3:55pm [Dine in]

Went for some Szechuan food on Robson street. It was not that busy as we had just missed the lunch crowd. The service was good and food was good. I will go back. The furniture does not adapt well for a Chinese restaurant but it's good for Robson Street. This is a small place so maybe it's not that great when the restuarant is busy. Reasonable prices. Only problem was finding some parking in the area.

Went or some Italian food at Arriva and the food was just ok. Service was good not rushed at all but food was very plain. Good selection but I would like to see more Italian flare to the food. The restaurant was not that busy on Friday was I was very surpised. May try it again once more.

Went to this restaurant for weeknight dinner. It was raining so it was a dull night. The reataurant was not very busy but the staff were excellent. The food was good and the service was also good. I will go back on nice Vancouver day. Parking was not an issue as it was weeknight. The shrimp wontons were excellent as their dipping hot sauce was good. I could have eaten these as my main meal

Good Japanese Food
Submitted Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - 1:22pm [Dine in]

We went here for a bussiness lunch with our office. We had pre-ordered our food as there were 12 of us in the group. We wanted a quick fast lunch as we were on tight schedule. We ordered the lunch boxes and they were excellent. I did not look at the prices but it seem to me that they were very reasonable. I will go back and try if i am in the area. It was a simple restaurant with good food. I think this is owned by Japanese so you do get Japanese food. Try it it's worth it.

Submitted Sunday, February 13, 2011 - 10:02am [Dine in]

Went here for dinner. I was surpised as the restaurant was not very busy on a saturday night. They have some tv screens and the hockey game was good. My friend and i ordered pasta and they were both good except my partner did not like her pasta. This was with some pesto and garlic sauce with chicken. I ordered the lasagna and it was good with lots of meat sauce. The bread was good but they had poured too much balsmic on the plate so the bread had absorbed this. Prices were very reasonable and i would go back and try their pizza. If i am in the neighborhood again then i will try them again. The server was excellent and their coffee was excellent. We were too full so did not try their dessert. Appy looked good but did not try.

Went for a Birthday dinner here with a group of close friends. The owner suggested some of the specials of the night and we tried 2 dishes. We got some other dishes and a couple of appy's. The food was excellent and service was also good. Very reasonable priced and the quality of food was good. Please note that the restaurant owner is Chinese but they still make good Thai food. It was a busy that evening.

Went to this restaurant for saturday night dinner. Went there with one of my best friend. We ordered the Arni Pesto shoulder lamb and it was very moist and tender. The serving was large and you would need to be very hungry to finish the meal. It was not a cheap place for Greek food but the food was excellent. The resturant was full and we did not have reservations but we did not have to wait to get a table. I will go back again.

Not good as it used to be
Submitted Sunday, January 16, 2011 - 1:40pm [Dine in]

Went to White spot for burgers and it was not as good as it used to be. The service was very average and food was ok. I did not enjoy my burger as much. They did not have any hot sauce which kind of surpised me. I noticed that they do not have any chicken wings as appy. I think there are better places to go for burgers

I went to this restaurant after a few years. The food was good but not outstanding. Used the entertainment coupon so this was not a bad deal. I am not sure if i would pay full price. I did not like sharing my table with others as this lady across us was asking too many questions. I was out with a friend and wanted to catch up rather than talking to his lady. I will go again.
