Good Indian food on the drive
Submitted Tuesday, November 29, 2016 - 10:07am [Dine in]

A friend and I went here for dinner on Saturday night. It was busy so had to wait for a table. The place is super small and it's almost like café style. You order at the counter and then they bring out the food. The food was good but it was very noisy with all the bang etc. Hard to have a conversation. They were super busy and had lots of take out orders. I will go back but will do a take out. Lots of meter street parking. Prices were a bit on high side for Indian food. Naan or Rice are included with your entrée. The food tasted good.

My friends wanted to try this place as they had bought a groupon. The service was good and food was also very good. I had the steak. Dessert was also very good. It's worth the money they charge as most yaletown places have small portions. This place was not bad. Lots of people at the restaurant and our server was very good.

Went to Rogue as I was meeting a friend for lunch. Had the Ruben sandwich and it was not good at all. Very greasy and meat was too fatty. My friend had the chicken burger and it was also very average. Service was decent but the food quality for not good for the prices that they charge. It was $17 for Ruben sandwich. There are much better places around town the one can go for lunch. I will not go back.. Décor was good at the restaurant.

Went for dine out Vancouver. Food was good but the portions were very small. The restaurant side did not have a window seat but the bar side had one so we decide to sit there. View is excellent and food quality is not bad. Had the salmon which was frozen but still tasted good. The dessert was very average. Not impressed with the dessert. There was a guy singing which was not bad. I would only go for the view but not the food. There are better restaurant that one can try.

Ok coffee, Bad desserts

Went for a coffee and dessert on sunday afternoon. Coffee was good but ordered Tiramisu and it was not good at all. It was frozen and was told by the server to let it warm up on the table for about 5 mins. Waited for 15mins and was still frozen inside. Took it back and she warmed it up in the microwave so now the was not good at all. They would not refund my money. What a waste of $5. Will go for coffe but don't order the dessert.. Better to go to Milano coffee which is just around the corner.

Bad Breakfast
Submitted Thursday, October 9, 2014 - 1:48pm [Dine in]

It was hard to find breakfast places that are open at 7am in Richmond but saw this place while driving to the airport. They had not opened up yet but waited only 5mins before they opened up. Everything there was bad. Old looking restaurant. Coffee was not good. They don't know how to make over easy eggs. I don't eat pork but they gave me bacon. My friend who eats bacon said that it was not good at all (funny tasting). I would not go back as i just wasted $30 for two people on breakfast. McDonalds could have done a better job on this.

Nothing special - Breakfast
Submitted Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 10:34am [Dine in]

Went for breakfast on the weekend and the place was not too busy. The server was funny but he was using the same lines with other customer. Service was slow. We ordered eggs and these were just ok. Hash browns were hard as rock. I would not go back as there are better places for breakfast. Maybe lunch might be ok. They did have their regular people walking in so maybe others like a place like this. I would not waste my time going to this place. Also, the jam and butter were from Superstore - No Name stuff.

Went to this new restaurant on Saturday night and it was good. Food has lots of local ingridents. Drinks were excellent. Service was also very good. I know there are lots of choices to try when you are in Gastown but i would try this restaurant again. The decor is also nice and nice relaxing music playing in the background. The portions are not hugh so some people may find it a bit pricy. Parking is also difficult in the area.

It was snowing so we wanted a quick meal and I felt like some noodles. Went to the Wok box as we were in the area. Ordered 2 boxes and the portion was very small. Also the taste was not that great. You could have gone to a Chinese restaurant and got a much better meal for half the price. We also won some spring rolls as part of our fortune cookie. So we tried the springs rolls as they tasted like they were from Costco. Nothing special here. Will not go back and way overpriced as to what you get. Service was good and clean place.

Nothing special
Submitted Wednesday, February 19, 2014 - 9:54pm [Dine in]

Went to Pint Public house. I was told that this is good place to get some good food and drinks. The server was not too interested in working as she took a long time to give us the menus and take our orders. Had the chicken wings which were not bad. Almost like Earls. Had the prime rib burger and chicken burger. Chicken burger was not good. Too dry and not enough toppings. Prime Rib burger was good. Had one with yam fries and other with Ceasar salad. Not sure if i will rush back. Drinks were decent. The place was not too busy but has lots of TV so can watch anything that you like.

Average pizza but salad was good.

Went to Famoso for some pizza. Ordered the spicy thai pizza which was just ok. i did not mind the toppings but the dough tasted ok. They said they import this dough from Italy which hard to believe. Salad was good did not mind this at all. Coffee was also very good. Had the dessert and that was just ok. Nothing special. Felt it was from Save on Foods but they said they import from Italy. The place was busy which is good sign. Service was not bad although you have to order at the counter. I may try again once more if i am in the area.

The restuarant was full. We all had the pasta special and it was very good. Coffee was good also. Did not have room for dessert. It was loud place so hard to talk. I will go back another time and try it for dinner.

Went to this restaurant with some friends from work. There were not many people at lunch. The restaurant is small but has excellent food. Their appy's are excellent. This is Indian resturant with an African flare. The ladies (aunties) are excellent cook and they make things as needed. The service is also very good. I think we were served by one of the owners and she was really nice. She also gave us a roti to try which was good. It was spiced up and tasted good. Parking is easy on the street. Too bad they are not open for a late dinner. I will go back for sure. They also have many take out items.

This restaurant has good food and service was good also. Good decor. Had the sampler menu so could try different dishes. Was not impressed with the seafood items but other items were good. Place was fairly busy for friday afternoon. The dessert was good and chai is also very good. Middle eastern food so if you don't like this kind of food then don't go. Very good spices and the aroma is good. Service was excellent. Will try again. Easy street parking available.

Submitted Sunday, August 11, 2013 - 8:11am [Dine in]

They are not open late but went on a saturday afternoon to check this out. The dessert looked excellent but was not in the mood to get some as we were going to a movie. Picked up some chocolates and had them at the movie. They were excellent and so smooth. They are not cheap. I paid about $20 for about 4 pieces. The ambiance is off as it's in a small strip mall type setting. They have a very few spots for parking. Staff were great to explain things I will be back again to try some coffee.

This restuarant has good interior and it was clean. It's fairly large restuarant and was getting busy for Saturday evening. Came in for early dinner like at 5:30pm. The place not full and people were still coming in. The server could not really understand what we were asking but he did not mess up our order. Food was different but not sure if i would pay those prices as the portions were a bit small. Dinner for two was around $60. We did not have dessert as we did not have room for dessert. They rush you in and out of the restuarant. I would try this place again as i like one of the chicken dishes that we had.

Submitted Thursday, April 25, 2013 - 10:07am [Dine in]

Good burgers. The portions are fairly large as they serve both fries and salad with your burgers. There are many choices. The burgers are not cheap and but they are good quality. Service was good. Milkshakes are good also. Did not like music as it's a head banger music. The place was not busy as we went for an early dinner but it did get busy after. I would go back when i feel like having a burger. I had the American Classic was good.
