Small portions and TERRIBLE service

I have been to the Vancouver downtown Opa many many times with no problems. The metrotown location on the other hand stinks. They had a special on for prawn sovlaki which came with caesar salad. They told me that I would have to pay extra for greek salad, so I got the opa platter, prawns with greek salad. So the cheap looking Filipino girl serving me gives me caesar salad, so I told her politely that I had asked for greek salad. OMG, she and this other young guy who looked Mexican working there made SUCH a huge fuss. Telling me that I was wrong...that I never ordered greek salad. When I told the guy that yes, I did order greek salad but it wasn't a big deal, he told me to stop "yelling". I don't know why they were causing a scene and holding up the line. I would understand if I was actually yelling, but I was calm the whole time! I was so embarassed by all the fuss that I just took my meal and left.

What makes it worse is that I got a really small portion out of it as well and the whole meal cost $10. I went there a few times before, but the only time there was an issue was when the Filipino looking girl served me. Never going back there again.

Okay food, but bad service

We ordered a "crazy roll" which supposedly is a combination of spicy tuna, salmon and tobiko. Well my roll only had tuna and when I pointed this out, the waitress went to the kitchen and came back to tell me that the chefs said the menu was wrong. I told her that the reason I got the roll was to have the variety, not for plain tuna, especially for 8$ per roll. She went back to the kitchen and then came out wt some masago sprinkled on top. I told her that this was not tobiko but masago (a very much cheaper version of the fish roe). She then took it back and then brought it out with some tobiko on top. Honestly, the chefs should have either remade the roll of me as described in the menu, OR they should have at least put real tobiko on my roll and not tried to substitute it wt something cheaper in case i wouldn't notice.

As well, the restaurant was very cold. It seemed as though they were too cheap to even turn on the heat.

One thing though...our waitress was pretty nice and the food wasn't horrible. But the lying and trying to cut corners is bad enough for me never to go back there again.
