A Cute Little Korean Restaurant!
Submitted Sunday, April 10, 2011 - 8:44pm [Dine in]

I've tried this place twice within a week and both times won my two thumbs up!

Tried their Kalbi beef steak, which comes with fresh lettuce, a side dish, Korean bean paste/sauce, and a bowl of rice. The beef is cooked perfectly to medium rare and the rice can either be multi-grain or plain old white. The waitress explained the way to eat this dish is to use the lettuce to wrap a piece of beef, a little bit of side dish and rice, and a dab of the bean paste. The combination of all gives a really nice taste and texture, I really liked it! I liked it so much that I've re-ordered this same dish the second I went back!

Also tried their seafood waffles and beef tongues as appertizer. The waffles are really hot, fresh out from the pan, and the sauce on it is really savoury. The beef tongues is one of the best I've tried! Good texture with simple taste of salt and pepper, goes really well with a bottle of Hite.

Other than good food, the service is also excellent! There is only one waitress but she is very polite and attentive. When we asked fore more lettuce and side dish, she quickly answered with a big smile and promptly brought us the items! The guy that looks like the owner greeted us nicely when we walked in, and thanked us warmly in Korean when we finished the meal and were about to exit the place. ("Kum-Soh-Ha-Mi-Da" means "thank you", it's the only Korean I know!)

All in all, good food with good service, I'll be returning many more times for sure!

Great sushi
Submitted Tuesday, February 22, 2011 - 5:36pm [Dine in]

I have to say that it is a little pricy, but definitely a good place for sushi.

We went in a party of 4, ordered quite a variety of things, including shitake mushroom soup, Ankimo (monkfish liver paste), sashimi (beef, white fish, salmon), sushi by piece: toro (fatty tuna), amaebi (sweet shrimp), hotate (whole scallop), uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), grilled beef tongue & black cod, tobiko fried rice, grilled rice balls (salmon & cod roe). --> man we sure ate a lot...

Most of what we ordered were above average, but I want to specifically point out that all the sushi by piece were AMAZING! Fresh and tasty, rice cooked perfectly and pressed firmly. Especially the toro, fatty part of tuna, literally melt in my mouth! A word-cannot-describe type of heavenly taste ~

Two thumbs up for their sushi!
