Expect a wait, but REALLY GREAT good!
Submitted Tuesday, December 23, 2014 - 1:02am [Dine in]

The value is pretty good, depending on what you get.
I had the raspberry caramel latte and it is SO worth it for $4.50!!
I also had the tagine, which was really good and full of flavour but a little pricey. It includes 2 poached eggs with vegetable stew, 2 sausages, and chickpeas. It's a really filling dish.
There are always A LOT of people in there and there's always a wait, which is the only downside. However, when you are seated, the wait for the food/drinks is not long!

could definitely upgrade the service
Submitted Wednesday, May 2, 2012 - 10:00pm [Dine in]

I've been here 3 times. Usually it's mediocre at best, but last night when I went to get some drinks with a few friends. Everyone was so rude and useless.
There was no hostess...we waited at the door for a few minutes and no one came to help us. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very rude and unfriendly. He didn't crack a smile once. He forgot my friend's order and I can live with that, because it's a normal mistake. But he wasn't apologetic at all.
30 minutes before closing, they started to kick us out and I just felt so uncomfortable being there because it was obvious they didn't want to be.
I would probably go there again just for drinks but I don't expect much from them.

Bellini :)
Submitted Sunday, October 9, 2011 - 10:23pm [Dine in]

Food: their bellini is amazing!! must try!
i almost always get their salads which are surprisingly filling. but like most salads, it's never really worth what you pay.
Service: the servers there are really nice and outgoing people. but they always seem to be quite busy because they forget some stuff. but it's not a huge problem.
Value: bellini is worth it. it's not cheap, but it's not overpriced.
Ambiance: interior is amazingly nice and clean. its dim inside and makes everything look really classy. washrooms are super nice too!! they also have a patio, but the view of the parking lot is not exactly the best.

Macarons!!!!!
Submitted Sunday, October 9, 2011 - 10:10pm [Dine in]

Wow. Amazing macarons, and not too expensive. Very, very good almond croissants, but they were about $5 a piece. A little pricey for a croissant, but worth a try. I would definitely come here again to enjoy a coffee.
It gets a little squishy inside the cafe when it's busy but they do have a cute little patio.

Beautiful view!
Submitted Monday, August 29, 2011 - 10:59pm [Dine in]

Food: I ordered a seafood spinach salad. It was a really nice meal but it was really small and not filling. There were a few pieces of salmon, some mussles and clams. I would have liked more greens too, to be honest! But overall it was a good salad.
Service: Very nice service! The hostess gave us water right away, which was really nice because it was a hot day. And our server was super friendly and approachable.
Value: My salad came to about $20, so it was really expensive for a salad but I expected to pay a bit here. So if you're tight on money, definitely wouldn't come here. But if you want to splurge a little on some good seafood, this is a good place to try!
Ambiance. My friend and I sat on the patio with a beautiful view. It's great!

Nice place, good food
Submitted Monday, August 29, 2011 - 10:55pm [Dine in]

I went to Las Margaritas yesterday night for dinner. It was super packed and for 3 people, there was a 15 minute wait.

Food: I ordered the Chicken enchiladas! It's a hugggeee portion. I didn't end up finishing my beans OR rice. But the enchiladas were really really good. It took about 40 minutes to get our food out after we ordered but we understood because it was so busy and our server was nice enough to
Service: Our server was obviously very busy and was running around a lot. But I really appreciated her coming to refill our waters. It took about 40 minutes to get our food out after we ordered but we understood because it was so busy and our server was nice enough to tell us ahead of time.
Value: My meal came to about $16...so I thought it was pretty good for such a huge portion.
Ambiance: Everything is in SPANISH! There's a lot of nice, cute decor and it's a little cramped but at the same time it's cozy. Really like it there!

Don't mind the backdoor entrance...
Submitted Monday, August 29, 2011 - 10:47pm [Dine in]

When you first walk in through the back door, it will definitely be a turn off.
But I love coming here when you need a quick and GOOD meal.
I always order the spring roll. It's really big and actually filling!
Service is okay. They take your order and leave you alone until you wave them down. But the food comes out fast and I have never been disappointed!

Submitted Saturday, July 31, 2010 - 2:28am [Dine in]

I came here a few weeks ago. I don't remember what I ate, but I really liked whatever it was!!! The service was also good and our server was friendly. It's not cheap sushi, but I think it's worth it if you enjoy good quality. Lastly I loved how the waitresses were dressed like traditional Japanese women. It just made everything more...Japanese!
I will definitely be coming back here!

I love coming here for all you can eat. The service is always fast and the servers are friendly. And it is soooo worth it to come here for late night all you can eat. One of my favourite places by far!
Just remember to make a reservation if you plan to go on weekends for all you!!!!

Food is delicious. Ordered smoked salmon and cream cheese roll, mango roll, beef sashimi, and oysters. All of them were very very good! But be warned...it IS expensive. Rolls range from $4-20. But it is so worth it! Service was pretty good too. Nothing to complain about :)
i wish i could eat here every night!

Submitted Saturday, January 16, 2010 - 4:12pm [Dine in]

Food: My boyfriend and I ordered escargot and bacon tarts for our appetizers. The bacon tart was delicious but the escargot was only alright. As a main, I had the pork chop and my boyfriend had the tenderloin. Both of which were cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my meal :)
Service: I expected a little more. The servers seemed unorganized. We had the specials read to us twice and then there was a bit of confusion as to who was going to take our order. But they did what they needed to do. They got the food out, they took our plates..etc.
Value: It was worth it, but it's not the cheapest place to go.
Ambiance: Very small little place. It's cute, but a little crowded.

Not the best bbt place
Submitted Sunday, December 6, 2009 - 5:57pm [Dine in]

Food: their milkshakes are good and i had the hot wheat germ milk tea, which was okay. nothing special, just like every other bbt place
Service: they're nice people, but it's such a small place, you'd think that they'd check up on you at least one or twice. but no, they took our order after 10 minutes and gave us our drinks. and that was the last of them. it's even hard to flag down their attention. but they didn't mess up on our order or anything.
Value: It's definitely not a cheap place to go because i've seen cheaper bubble tea places. my hot milk tea was 4.25 for a small and i think 5 for a large. Milkshake was around $6, I think.
Ambiance: Small, quiet place. They have cute couches that could seat up to about 6 people and they also have normal tables.

Parking is in the back, but since other places along alexandra share that parking lot, it might be difficult to find a spot, depending on what time you go.

Submitted Friday, November 13, 2009 - 10:58pm [Dine in]

FOOD: It sucks for the people who didn't get to experience the delicious-ness of the burger I had, and for those who have...isn't it awesome?! My burger was great!! One of the best burgers I've ever had, or possibly the best! The patty was juicy and fresh, so I suggest you eat it before the fries. My milkshake was good too!!
SERVICE: Everyone was so nice and friendly. They were fast and attentive. Thumbs up!
VALUE: Expect to spend at least $13 there. But it's well worth it and you will be satisfied!
AMBIANCE: I've never seen a restaurant like this. It's more like an old fashioned diner and it looks so genuinely genuine!
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND EATING HERE!

I always come here when I want to treat myself or if I just want to sit down with a friend and chat. It's just perfect. I loooooove their desserts. There are so many to choose from, that I always have trouble deciding. But you can never go wrong with chocolate and/or cheesecake! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a simple yet delicious snack. It's a lot more worth it then going to a restaurant just to order dessert.
This place is awesome!

Submitted Tuesday, July 28, 2009 - 3:13pm [Dine in]

FOOD: prawn cakes, malaysian bread, pork chops, skewers...they were all so good and they were all mildy spicy/came with spicy sauce. But the menu tells you if something is super spicy or not, just in case you're not a fan of it.

SERVICE: I'm not very good with spicy foods, so I was downing my water pretty quick. Luckily my server was equally quick to fill up my glass. He was fast with taking the order and with getting extra utensils we needed.

VALUE: Some things seem a little overpriced, like a plate of veggies for 12 bucks. But for the most part it's pretty average priced.

AMBIANCE: It nice because there are windows all over the place. But it gets really crowded some times and it can get really loud.

I would definitely recommend going here!

Great Service
Submitted Sunday, July 19, 2009 - 9:47pm [Dine in]

Food - I ordered a chicken caesar salad, so it's hard to rate the food based on a simple salad. Nonetheless, it was a good salad! The chicken was not dry and there wasn't too much/too little dressing. Although my friend who ordered another type of salad was missing the sunflower seeds, raisins, and such. For dessert, I ordered the apple crumble and I dunno, it just wasn't that good.

Service - Seated right away. Had a party of 10, and were welcomed and greeted quickly and pleasantly. Our waiter was great and had a great sense of humour. Helped my friend get though missing seeds from her salad without trouble.

Value - Like most other western restaurants. My salad cost around $12.50 and dessert was almost $7. Not too horrific, but there are cheaper places out there.

Ambiance - Very family friendly. Nicely lit. Clean and welcoming!

Disappointing...
Submitted Sunday, July 19, 2009 - 5:54pm [Dine in]

FOOD: terrible. I'm sorry, but it was the worst pesto chicken linguine I've ever had and there was way too much olive oil. And my boyfriend agreed that it was tasteless and bland. My boyfriend ordered the mushroom burger and he didn't like the sauce in it.
SERVICE: our server was nice and friendly, but he was very persistent and a little annoying. He would come by to ask if we needed anything and even after we said no, he would ask if we needed pepper, mustard, or ketchup. I just felt like he didn't know what he was doing and he was very scattered and unorganized. He might have been new, but I expected a little more.
Value: Compared to many other restaurants, this one is good with prices and affordable for most people. I think I would've given a higher rating if I actually liked the food.
Ambiance: It's nice in there and there's a little outside courtyard area the middle of the restaurant. We got seated near the back of the restaurant and it was extremely cold. The air conditioning was on and for some it may have been refreshing and nice, but I thought it was too cold. Otherwise it's a comfy place to go.

Submitted Thursday, July 2, 2009 - 6:06pm [Dine in]

I used to enjoy coming here, but after several very disappointing visits, I never want to go again.
The food is fine. Its just like every other bubble tea place.
The service is beyond poor. They've forgotten my pearls/coconut jelly, written down the wrong order and taken way too long to make drinks and food. So I don't recommend coming here if you actually want to be served.

Did my waitress die?
Submitted Monday, June 29, 2009 - 8:21pm [Dine in]

Food: Average bubble tea stuff
Service: UGH. Is it so hard to get a drink at a bubble tea restaurant?! It took them 40 minutes to get a drink for my friend and I and in addition, they messed up by not putting the pearls in. Which seems to be a common mistake at this joint. My experience there gets worse and worse each time.
Value: Considering they always mess up and that it takes so long, I don't think its worth it.
Ambiance: Its usually really loud there and I find myself on the verge of yelling when I talk to people. Otherwise, it's "decent"

i hate this place!
Submitted Monday, May 18, 2009 - 8:54pm [Dine in]

I don't remember ever leaving pearl castle a happy camper.
i ordered an earl grey milk tea, and there was pudding in it.
another time, my drink took a ridiculously long time (30 minutes or more?) and i had to ask them to check on my drink TWICE.
the wait is always really long, and you can't make reservations.
i would not recommend this place.
