I took my wife here for our 1 year anniversary dinner and I have to say that I was actually taken aback by the quality of service and food at this place.

I found Onyx from a google search for steakhouses in Metro Vancouver and after reading some online reviews and talking with my wife we decided to give it a try. Normally we would have headed to the Keg but we are glad we didn't.

Our server Teresa who was very attentive and knowledgable explained the a la carte menu so my wife had the petite filet with port demi glaze and I had the 16 ounce bone in ribeye with scotch demi glaze. We shared a side of gorgonzola mac and cheese and broccolini, both more than enough for 2 people and then finished with a slice of cheese cake and apple crisp (both made in the restaurant).

The total before tip was around 150$ but well worth the expense. This was our first time ordering from an a la carte menu and we will definitely do it again at Onyx. If you have the opportunity give it a shot because you won't be dissapointed.
