A friend had told me about this place because i have a love for all things sweet, so i decided i would stop by. On first impressions it seemed cute with a retro feel, but after spending some time inside it had a cold feeling about it. Nothing about the place made me want to sit and spend time in there.
The owner was fairly pleasent, however there was something slightly off about her demenor. I didnt get a warm welcoming feeling from her, but more of a hurry up and buy my product type vibe. The location is a weird one, out of the way and could be missed wuite easily espessialy with all the other booming businesses in steveston.
Now onto the cupcakes. I tried the red velvet with cream cheese icing. The cupcake was very dry, so much that i had to grab a glass of milk to help it down. The cream cheese icing?? did not have any type of cream cheese flavouring. very dissapointed!! As for the price, way to expensive for the quality of the product. I expected more from a bake shop that does nothing but cupcakes. Will not come here again! I would much rather bake my own at home, at least they would be moist, flavorful, and affordable.

Food here is horrible!
advertised as fresh, when it is clearly frozen. As someone who works in the industry and has training to back it up..I could tell the diffence. fresh fish should not be an issue when having a restaurant in steveston. my friend had the curry chicken which was clearly whipping cream with curry powder added.. very bland. a big dissapointment!! this resturant seems very pretentious!!!
as for the price,,too much. if i were paying for what was advertised then i would feel differntly.
service was ok, however our server did spend most of the time in the back of the kitchen rather than filling our waters etc.
the ambiance is meh, could use improvments..did not like the fact that the laundry is in the womens washroom. and the tv's are a bit much,, semmed like the staff was more focused on watching the game then serving the customers.
I would highly recommend another restaurant in steveston... there are mush better ones on the docks, they have a great view and great food to boot.
