I dropped in for a quick bite with my friend. It looked like a nice restauant. I had ministrone soup which was bland and plain. Like tomato juice with canned beans. It was not very hot, like it had been heated in a microwave.
I ordered a salad that said on the menu it came with balsamic dressing. It came with kraft italian. I asked for the balsamic and the waitress brought me the oil and balsamic in little bottles. I poured the oil all over my salad. It smelled kind of old, but o.k. I poured the balsami and it smelled like dirty socks. I looked into the bottle, and there was a huge lump and layer of slimy gel. It had gone bad. I told the waitress and she took it away. After awhile she brought me another salad with little bowls of oil and vinegar. The old still tasted stale. Very plain and uninspired food. I won't be going back.
They made no attemp to apoliogize or offer to credit my bill for the salad which might have redeemed them in my eyes.
Such a shame as the surroundings are good.

Wonderful pub. Friendly staff, great new menu. The dishes are fresh and homemade. Had the new shroom caps, so delicious.... Prawns with a little pot of real butter and chunks of fresh garlic.
Clean and inviting, with great decor. Feels like somebody's house it's so comfortable. The homemade lamb burger is to die for. And the roast beef dinners and lamb roast dinners on the weekend are better than Mom ever made. As you can tell I am a big fan, and go to this little gem often.
I think the new ownership has really got it all goin' on.
