Amazing Valentine's Day Dinner
Submitted Saturday, February 14, 2009 - 8:53pm [Dine in]

I just took my wife here for the 5 course Valentine's Day menu. We had a really great time and will return soon.
The theme is international tapas and this place really delivers. My favorites were the Amuse-Bouche style appetizers, the truffle soup, the scallops with some sort of champagne sauce, and the couscous with the lamb was fantastic. The menu apparently changes every 3-5 months and most of everything we had was unique for Valentine’s Day. I can’t wait to come back and try the regular menu as I seriously enjoyed every item I tried tonight.
The ambiance and service are quite nice as well. Although the place was very full it didn’t feel crowded in the slightest and our server was very warm and attentive. This is one of the few restaurants where I can spend over $200 and walk out without giving the bill a second thought. It really did hit the mark.

Amazing Dine Out Vancouver Experience
Submitted Saturday, January 17, 2009 - 1:00am [Dine in]

Just had a great time at Coast and will return for sure.

Other than the small $16 crab cake, every item we had was top notch and well worth it:
Tuna and Beef tataki
Fish Chowder
Falafal crusted Cod
Prawns with crab risoto
Assortment of deserts

Really nice Dine Out Menu and Chef's Tasing menu. I liked all the dishes, especially the prawns. They were filled with flavor and cooked perfectly. I didn't expect them to be so good. I like how the menu was made up of unique dishes and not smaller portions from the regular menu like other places do for Dine Out.

I highly reccomend and will return soon. Only complaint is that it is a bit loud, but the booths upstairs are really comfy and I could sit there for hours. The service is very quiet and attentive. I didn't even realize they were filling up my drinks all the time.

Best Mexican Pickup in Vancouver
Submitted Saturday, December 13, 2008 - 5:02pm [Dine in]

I pickup food here at least once a week. I always order the tortilla soup with chicken which is a must try if you have not had it. Has a great kick to it.

I also order either carne asada sopes, burrito, or tacos. I love the carne asada here and I have not had sopes anywhere else in vancouver so I stick with those. They are almost as good as I used to have them in LA which is saying a lot for vancouver.

I love the salsa too so I always add some chips on the side. If you can get a table it's a bit fresher to eat there of course, but I'm always on the go so grab for pick up.

Amazing chiekn kurage and great variety
Submitted Saturday, February 9, 2008 - 3:57pm [Dine in]

I love this place, I go there at least once a week. Specials are changed up all the time to keep it fresh and the chicken kurage can't be beat anywhere. I love ths spicy tuna rolls and the spicy beef/tuna/salmon sashimi as well. Sometimes it gets a bit busy and I usually get stuck in the small tables in the front, but it's so worth it for the food. Service is friendly too, the owner is a nice guy.

Great Pho, Subs, and Vermicelli!
Submitted Saturday, February 9, 2008 - 3:53pm [Dine in]

Thanks to the reviews of this place I gave it a try. I live in Yaletown and was looking for a good pho place worth driving too. This one fits the bill. Much cleaner inside than most pho places which is why I gave it a 4 in ambiance, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary in that category for a pho place. It reminds me of back in LA because the subs are soo good. Had Pho, pasted pork vermicelli and the special sub and they were all great. Service was very friendly unlike many pho places. Will be going back for sure. Great value too because the portions are very large. Was only 18 bucks with tip for two of us. Never been to the place down the street where the line was going out the door, but I'll stick with this one as it's less cramped ;)
