We discovered this place by word of mouth, and have been twice within one month. It's a very, very sweet find! Food is good, simple, fresh and delicious. This place fills any hankering for an authentic taste of Italy... without having to travel. Ambience is cozy, and service is attentive. Highly recommended!

This is THE place to come for Afternoon Tea- but DO make a reservation! Sweets and savories are homemade, delicious and unique. The service is attentive and cheerful. You'll be spoiled for life after coming here!

This restaurant is fantastic! They even provide binnoculars at the tables and the view overlooks the open ocean... you can see seals, otters, and the occasional whale. Not bad for live dinner theatre! The menu is unique and tasty. The place is clean, and friendly. A nice drive and place to come for a meal unto itself, or to nip up to if you're staying in the five star ocean view cabins on the property. Super place with forest/beach to walk around too, if you're staying for a meal.

Great food. Real. Simple. Delicious. Best Fish and Chips in town. Honest, friendly service. No matter how good of a cook one is... you sure can't make this stuff at home- you have to go out to Haultain! Enjoy!

We were indeed on cloud nine! Incredible Sunday Brunch, with wonderful attentive service. The view was breathtaking. All in all the best brunch experience ever! Food, service and view were incomparable!

Have been here twice. The view is stunning, however customer service here is an oxymoron. The food is not good... it is cold and lifeless. My very expensive hamburger had one wilted lettuce leaf and one slice of anemic tomato, the bun was dry. One of our party never received his beer until dessert was served. We shall not return.

Over the past three years our regular visits to this particular restaurant have diminished to sporadic, and then last week was the final straw.
While the food (along with the parent restauraunt of Wonton Noodle House) is probably one the most healthy chinese food restaurants in Victoria, Wonton has continually maintained its high standards, and John's Noodle Village on Bay St. has not. We initially went to John's Noodle Village because the food was healthy, hot and fresh. We have never gone for their good service, as they seem to have no concept of timeliness... yet the food continually drew us back. Now there seems to a complete lack of veggie colour. The only veggies used regularly seem to be broccoli, with the occasional token carrot. Last week our meal, (and tea) was cold as well colourless.... and it took 1.25 hours to have our meal served. We shall not return.

A dinner adventure we saved for a momentous anniversary. A big plus- the meal was truly amazing.
A little minus- the lighting was a bit too bright for a romantic meal... and unfortunately, the well-intentioned head waiter hovered and lingered at our table, speaking too much.
