This is the best chinese food restaurant around . It may take awhile for the food to arrive but the food is very fresh. The place is clean and a secret gem of a restaurant. The staff take pride of the food, quality and service. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are becoming regulars and have not had a bad meal yet.
We celebrated a birthday at the Diva on July 09/07. We were very impressed with the restaurant and staff. The service was perfect and not too intrusive. The menu had a variety of choices for any taste and explained each dish in detail.
When the server placed the food on our table, we knew immediately that there is a reason this restaurant has been rated so high. The presentation was worth a picture and the taste was awesome. We had the lamb and free range chicken and both dishes were prepared to prefection. This was one of the best dinners we have had. Will definitely go back and recommend.
Had breakfast for the first time at the Waffle House and found the food to be so so. We ordered eggs benny and french toast. The eggs benny was below average and french toast just ok. Will most likely never go back.
We were pleasantly surprized by the quality of Bella Pizza. First of all I must say that this is a "Delivery Review" of Bella Pizza and we have not been to the restaurant. The pizza we ordered arrived within 40 minutes as predicted by Bella Pizza. The pizza is thick and made with lots of cheese and tasty tomato sauce. I would recommend this place and will order again. Very good Pizza..
We decided to try Cockney Kings in New Westminister last week and have mixed reviews. The restaurant was busy with people when we first entered, we were not sure if we were in the line for getting a table or picking up take-out. The cooks were trying to figure out this as well and seemed very disorganized. There is no wait to be seated/take-out sign.
The food portions appear to be getting smaller and the batter is getting greasier. The bun was at least 2 day's old and the coleslaw was served in such a small container I had to be careful eating the coleslaw as the fork would barely fit in the container. The fish was average and my sister swallowed a bone from her cod.... That should never happen.
My conclusion is that Cockney Kings is cutting corners and the quality of food is gowing down as a result. Too bad.
Ok, let me start by saying the restaurant looks a bit old. This is your classic greasy spoon so to speak with excellent food. The Big Six has been a favorite of ours and makes the best homeade fries I have ever had. They also have daily specials. You get a real homeade hamburger, fries and soup of the day for only $ 6.50. The staff are excellent and the place is usually full around supper time. The only down side is that they usually close at 7:00 pm.
Well I will start out by stating that I'm not huge on Greek food and have limited experience when it comes to Greek food. The service was outstanding which included recommendations which the waitress was bang on about.
The food was excellent and portion sizes were medium to large. The desserts are also excellent with almost everything made from scratch as expected.
Ambiance was also very good. Will definitely go back....
We have been to Charlie's cafe about 10 times within the last 2 years. We have always joked about the how bad the service is and have actually found it comical watching "new patrons" experience the service first hand. We have seen 4 groups just plain walk out after sitting 20 minutes without any service and Charlie just seems to take it in stride. The food is quite good but just noticed that the prices have gone up again and portions have gone down. If you want authentic Mexican food, drive down to Bellingham and you won't be dissapointed and the chances are including driving time etc. you would have probably received your meal at Mi Mexico before you would at Charlie's if you stayed.
I have been going to the Salmonhouse restaurant for over 10 years and have always thought the food/service was excellent value for your money. My one complaint was perhaps the ambiance could be improved with music while dining. My last visit in June of 2006 will be my last. While introducing a couple to the Salmonhouse for a birthday celebration, we were very dissapointed with the food. The food was tasteless, served cold and actually found bones in my halibut. I thought after our meal I would take advantage and use the Salmonhouse website and submit a comment which accordingly to the website was encouraged. No response was ever received so we decided to write a letter directly to the Salmonhouse Manager, again no response or even enquiry to our comment. Needless to say, service is probably the most important thing besides the food and when the manager no longer cares what the customers are commenting on, no more needs to be said. We will never go back.
