This place will make sure that since your getting take out you get a little extra weight to carry. Unlike other sushi restaurants when you order take out you don't just get a petite morsel of food. Let's face it you are getting take out because you are hungry not because you feel like fine dining so accordingly Tokyo Joe's sees it this way too. If you pay 10-12 bucks for a couple rolls the rolls are good and filling enough for you to call it a meal. You have been warned not to get take out sushi elsewhere unless it is dirt cheap. If you dine in there is always tea and miso soup included as part of the meal. You can just pay right when you order and not worry about the tip later so it is good value here.

I have been a steady regular for a few years now and I would say this place is good. They have a VIP card for a free meal after 12 stamps which is better than nothing. Best value is at night after 9:30 pm. It can be a bit disappointing if you go and order something from the regular menu. Stick to the all you can eat menus every time you go. Oysters are cooked and I have never gotten sick from them. Cones are good and all the sauces they use for various sushi types are good. Spicy tuna a salmon are good here too if that's your thing. Unlike some sushi restaurants, the food does not taste slightly old or sour because the turnover is high enough to ensure freshness of ingredients. Late night has the cones on the menu and you can pig out on them.
