Lived in Surrey for 2 years and this was our normal haunt for something quick & delicious. Always consistent and good portion sizes. My usual is the house special. They put more ingredients than any other restaurant I know. Pho Ga and bo bun hue are good. rice dishes with pork

Had Roti Canai as appies. The dough was on the soggier side, like how you would get by microwaving bread. Not impressed for the price we had to pay for this. Then we had the hawker clams, the sauce was too thick that it was rather gloppy. Hawker clams normally have a light soupy sauce that originates from the clam and is not thickened. The taste was there but the starch was unnecessary. We also had the black tiger prawns with Kim Heong. The prawns were perfectly cooked but the Kim Heong taste didn't come through and so, it was acceptable. The Eggplant in spicy chili garlic had one of the more authentic tastes but not enough dried shrimp and a few slices were undercooked.
Service: The waiter didn't clear our empty dishes when he brought new ones. He not only did this once but 3 times. He poured a bottle of beer for my husband and left the empty bottle there and did the same when he served us new dishes but left the empty ones still sitting on the table. It also took him a long time to bring a bowl of rice when we had all our dishes sitting in front of us and we were picking at it until I went over to the counter and asked a lady to bring us rice.
Value: Came up to about $53 for 2. A bit on the pricey side. I didn't find it good value for money. I am Malaysian and I am picky about what qualifies as good Malaysian food. I read so many good reviews and was excited to try it but we left rather disappointed.
