busy but good

it was good. had a bunch of tapas though now i'm unsure exactly what. had japanese taco's which were delicious, as well as some muscles which were great as well. oh, had calimari as well which was pretty good, not great, but i loved the tacos.

beer was good, service was good, nice little place but super busy. a little too busy for my liking.

overall nice place to go hang out, a little yuppyish for the drive, but oh well --

sadly, i couldn't get reservations and upon trying to find somewhere else to go that evening for dinner we decided to go and try our luck regardless -- luckily, there was a small table that was open just off the lounge, unfortunatly though, it was right across from the kitchen

first thing to know is this place is loud. you really do need to yell to hear anyone as the music is up and so are the voices, and during our experience being across from the kitchen didn't help much either.

to start we ordered some muscles -- they were pretty damn good. i dug them and the belgian fries were great as well.

as for our meals my two friends ordered the venison and they were very impressed. i ordered the lamb shank which was delicious and a much larger serving, however, the size was happened to be its draw back. it was just so rich, which i should have known it would be from the menu. it had honey and cinnamon and was garnished throughout with figs, but regardless, still very good.

for desert i had the chocolate cigars, which were great, but not that inventive. if i was to go back i'd pick something a little more nifty.

i love the look of the place, it really is a lovely looking restraunt and i would definitly go back. my meal cost about 75 dollars and that was for 1/2 muscles (split with friend) the lamb shank, a beer, and a cocktail, as well as desert. not bad for fine dining

lots of negative reviews, which suprises me.

i dig it.

food is good, i was fairly impressed though nothing over the top mind blowing. the service is fine, though i was sitting at the bar because there was no seeting, but then again there never is on a friday night on main st.

drinks were good, price is fine. the place is really cute as well. overall fine expereince both times i've dined here.

first time i went to the rugby club it was great. nice food and a nice setting, looking like as many have mentioned, an upscale Earls. It truly is a stepping stone for young people to try some new dishes which is great, if they are done right, otherwise they might be scared off and stick with their norm.

I ordered the signature ribs, the sauce was a bit to rich for me, but what ruined the dish was these huge peices of grissel that i had to spit out every moment. Luckily i wasn't on a date.

I ordered indian spice cakes for a carb and they it tasted like I was eating cold Mcdonald's fries.

We ordered hummus and naan and there wasn't any naan so they brought us four small peices of garlic bread which would require you to put 2 lbs of hummus on to finish it all off.

The drinks were fine, no problems though people are right -- the beer is a bit flat.

If going order the black satin chicken, it's great. The 1.99 lobster tails on Monday's is a great deal as well, but it doesn't end up being that cheap after ordering all of the minimum dishes.

If you want to try something a little more upscale save enough to get the real deal so you can see what fine dining really is.
