If you want melt-in-your-mouth-delicious sushi, coupled with excellent service, ambiance, and value, then Namoo Sushi is your restaurant! I'm so impressed with the restaurant that I had to write a review to tell the world!

By way of background, this restaurant underwent a change in management in the summer of 2009, which resulted in entirely new staff. Therefore, the previous negative review for this restaurant is outdated and not applicable.

Allow me to update you on the present state of affairs:

FOOD: 5 Stars. The food is outstanding! It is always very fresh, and made to order. The sushi is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The Sushi Master at Namoo Sushi is very detail-oriented and doesn't skip a beat when it comes to preparing high-quality sushi. My favorite roll is the Alaska Roll (i.e., a California Roll with a thin piece of smoked salmon on top - YUMMY!!!) The Lunch Boxes and Dinner Boxes are amazing - they are generously filled with a variety of delicious, fresh, healthy food. My husband, who was previously "not a sushi eater" is now a SUSHI LOVER, all because of Namoo Sushi! This restaurant will make anyone LOVE sushi!

SERVICE: 5 Stars. The staff at Namoo Sushi is excellent! They are all so friendly, pleasant, cheerful, and always smiling! :) They speak English very well and they love to please. There are usually a number of servers working at any given time, so service is very fast. I couldn't ask for anything more!

VALUE: 5 Stars. The value at Namoo Sushi is fantastic! The food is excellent and, yet, fairly inexpensive! For example, a Lunch Box is about $10, which is fairly "standard" in terms of price, but the Lunch Box is packed with so much food that the "bang for the buck" is awesome! If you eat there on an empty stomach, you'll certainly leave there feeling full and happy!

AMBIANCE: 5 Stars. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant! The vibe is peaceful and happy - a great space to relax and recharge. The music is relaxing and pleasant. They often play Latin Jazz music, which is very enjoyable to hear, and matches the elegance and sophistication of the restaurant. The decor is what I would describe as "modern Zen" - simple, yet very elegant and classic. There are a number of tables, and about 3 or 4 "private" booths that seat about 4-6 people (if you want a booth, just ask for one). They also have a large table off to the side that can accommodate about 12-16 people, so it's a great place to hold a business party or birthday party. In fact, I've held both a business party and a birthday party at the restaurant, and I was very happy I did - both went very well! There are beautiful/thought-provoking paintings on the walls, and the color scheme of the restaurant is black, red, and white, which happen to be my favorite colors! The restaurant is very clean. Their plates, teacups, and teapots are all new and very stylish. Overall, I love being in the restaurant!

In conclusion, Namoo Sushi is one of Port Moody's gems. I love Namoo Sushi because it exceeds expectations in every regard! All the 5 stars ratings I gave here reflect the consistent high-quality food/service/value/ambiance I've experienced over the numerous (30+) times I've eaten at the restaurant since the summer of 2009. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
