The Worst Experience
Submitted Sunday, September 20, 2009 - 6:53pm [Dine in]

I should start off by saying that I am not a picky person, but the food experience at this restaurant was not acceptable for Earls standards. First of all, it took 15 mintues to be seated despite the fact that the restaurant was pretty much dead with the exception of a few people sitting on the patio. The waitresses are very unorganized and flock around like headless chickens. We were sat beside a flower pot and there was so many seats available, we had bees and birds surround our food on so many occasions that we forgot what we were waiting for. Finally, one useless waitress came along and took our order. The food was okay, but nobody asked how it was until we were almost done, the waitress forgot to bring extra sauce we asked for even though we reminded her twice, our water was not refilled until we payed the bill, she also asked me if i wanted "frings and tobacco" wtf is that? I wonder how these people get any jobs, especially at a tourist attraction such as Whistler. Obviously the tip was a zero with a bad service comment on the side.....by the way she brought the sauce when i was done eating our food, and we waited for the bill for 20 minutes again for no reason. We have been to this place two times and both of the experiences were terrible, I dont know how human resources drafts and trains these people but this a joke... the waitresses dont have the iq of a 3rd grader. This place is totally useless and I dont understand why anyone would ever want to dine here and pay those prices if u can go to a local crack town place and get yourself something for a lower price, or go to starbucks for a tea and a muffin....

When we first walked in, i guess it was the owners wife or some older woman told us there were no seats and we'd be waiting ''quite a while'' . somehow the bartender knew that wasn't true and told her there was a table for two. she seemed drunk the entire night.

we got seated and did not get acknowledged until the owner's wife asked if we had been helped yet. then we finally got a server.

the place is extremely crampt. but it was full so i thought it would be good.

i had the 9 oz tenderloin. the steak was cooked how i wanted it, but the vegetables were cooked in something i didnt particularly like. i found a peice of calamari in my plate as well as random bits of cauliflower which didn't belong there (messy/dirty plate?) ....

the chocolate cake for dessert was the worst chocolate cake ive ever had in my life. it was drizzled in some red and white gel which tasted horrible. it was just bad. i couldnt even finish it. and i'm a huge chocolate lover.

we won't be back.

Great Experience

We ordered the Tabbouleh salad with prawns, which looked beautiful, and a bocconcini salad (the only thing i can say about that is that it was under seasoned.) We got two baskets of bread at two different times, and then we were given our entrees (I got the chicken breast with potatoes/butternut squash and my boyfriend got the 5 oz tenderloin). Both dishes looked beautiful. The only real complaint is that it was not busy but dishes took awhile to get to us. It took 20 minutes for my boyfriend to get a milkshake. Other than that it was a good experience and the staff is extremely nice.
