This is a small Viet Restaurant located in Marpole.
My boyfriend and I decided to try the subs since we wanted something cheap. If you take-out, it's $3 for a sub. We both had the Chicken sub which was flavourful!!! The sub consisted of: Cucumber, Pickled Carrot/White Carrot?? Radish, Hot Peppers, and Stewed Chicken all wrapped up a surprisingly fresh French Roll with butter.
If you eat in, the sandwiches are $3.25. I think it's worth it to support this small business! It looks like a real mom 'n pops kind of joint as there was only one guy serving, working the cash register, and prepping the food. Perhaps there was another staff member in the back.
Since Subway is across the street, and you can get a 6" sub for $3, I'd rather go here when I want something different than the traditional sandwich.

I've been here twice.
The first time, I had the Peppered Chicken Steak. It was decent - you can't mess up a chicken steak. It came with rice & frozen veggies (peas, carrots, corn). Nothing special.
The second time, I had the Baked Pork with Curry Sauce on Rice. I think the baked items are better! The pork was crispy and the curry sauce was flavourful & a bit creamy/thicker with a smooth consistency. It was not too spicy and was mild-hot at best. For $6.25, I enjoyed a drink along with my meal and I left full & stayed full for the whole afternoon.
The service is average & the ambiance is solid. It's a lot cleaner than some other HK restaurants.

I went to this restaurant in June for their "birthday" special & experienced a great deal: 3 courses for just $20.
The service was excellent! The Butternut Squash Fondue was excellent. it was sweeter and more flavourful than the original, more bitter, swiss fondues I had previously tried elsewhere. I had the Peppercorn Turkey - it was a bit chewy and too salty for my liking. The warm potato salad accompanying the turkey was delicious! It was warm & creamy, with shallots, bacon, corn. For dessert, I had the corn cake with coffee syrup and maple syrup creme. It was excellent - not too sweet - just warm and flavourful.
In July, I went for the Steak special. The steak was so flavourful and was cooked the way I requested: medium. The steak was a bit chewy/stringy... but for the portion of steak that I was give, which was huge, it met my expectations and left me content & full! The chips accompanying the steak were nothing special and the corn relish was average.
I'll be sad to see this place go as I hear it's closed.
