I don't know about the food, but the icre cream sucked
Submitted Friday, March 14, 2008 - 9:20pm [Dine in]

My friend and I passed by there to check it out. We weren't hungry so we just decided to get some ice cream since they had gelato, and boy, were those the smallest amounts of gelatos for the price of $3.95 (single cup). They were literally two table spoons of ice cream, and that was it! I ordered blackforest and really it just tasted like normal chocolate ice cream to me. Reading the reviews, i guess the food there is good, but for sure, don't get the ice cream, it's a huge rip!

Good at times, bad other times.

I visited this place twice over the last year. The first time I didn't enjoy it very much because the fish was just soooooo salty! And the service was extremely slow. However, the second time I went here for dineout new west, the food was great! So I guess your experience at this restaurant will depend on how lucky you are. But it is worth a try!

Don't dine here for dineout
Submitted Saturday, January 26, 2008 - 4:45pm [Dine in]

me and my group of friends went here for dineout vancouver 2008. Overall, I think their menu should be worth 25 instead of 35. The entree was very ordinary, nothing special. The appetizer was ..meh. but their tiramisu was very good...actually it was probably the best tiramisu I've ever tasted (I like it to be super bitter with strong wine/kaluha taste). The service was not great, I guess it's because there are too many people. I probably wouldn't come here again even for regular dining.

My bf and I loveessss this place. The salmon and sushi here are incredibly fresh! The only thing is that I'm a huge noodle soup fan, and the ones here are just average. I think they only excelle in sushi.

Worst all-you-can eat sushi restaurant ever...
Submitted Tuesday, November 13, 2007 - 1:50pm [Dine in]

I haven't been to this place in a couple of years so I've decided to pay a visit last sat due to a birthday party. And i just have to say that this is the worst all-you-can-eat restaurant I have ever been to. The sushi had an extra layer of rice wrapped around it (what a cheap way to make you full) and the rice wasn't even good. The texture was dry, which made it difficult to swallow...the vinegar in the sunomono tasted like it's overdue..BLAH..Then there is the service..my goodness...we waited around half an hour for another darn pot of tea (with TEA BAG? what happened to the brown rice tea!?), not to mention our sushi cones NEVEr came, and the waitress just ignored us even tho she saw my friend waving at her. We were a party of 8 so the tips were included on the bill. I was tempted to argue with them to give me my money back because I felt like they did not deserve that 10%. However, I think this review serves justice.

Consistently good sushi!

I have always enjoyed their noodle soup and fresh sushi. It can't beat the place on Cambie and 15th but it's still quite decent. The service is good and I always get complementary salmon heads from the chef. YumMm..In general, a place worth visiting over and over ..
