Sushi Garden4269 Lougheed Hwy, Burnaby
Probably the worst service I've ever experienced ever.

I come to Sushi garden once in a blue moon because some of my family members are crazy about it. We used to frequent the joint for takeout when we lived in the area. however I would not drive all the way to the other side of vancouver to eat here like I did as per my sister's suggestion yesterday. Piss poor service along with bad attitudes from the server/hostess. Wow can you play that much into the surly Korean stereotype much? The sushi is solid, and has great value, but everytime i come here I do get a bad taste in my mouth by how blatantly rude the people who work here are. The server even had the audacity to ask why we didn't tip them. Here's a hint "ladies", tips are given for great service, with your poor attitude why should we give you extra $$$ when there when you weren't even that pleasant to begin with? Maybe you should get your manager to invest in proper service training before you think about daring to ask for a tip.

I've been dining here for about a year and the standard has gone down a lot compared to when I first started going. Example is the B.C roll. I used to love ordering it b/c they were the few restaurants that had crisp salmon skin, however lately the few times I've tried it the skin has been soggy and gross. Last week went with my friend and both ordered lunch combos, and the Salmon Nigiri turned out nasty and fishy (and this wasn't the first time I've had bad fish there) Today I also ordered a beef terri don for my bro and he commented that the standard has gone down, and the cut of the meat was not very good...very rubbery and nasty. The service there, is ..well abit slow. The waitresses are polite but it can be hard to flag them down at times. Overall I will be avoiding this place for awhile. Hope the standards improve .....

Anyone who has been to the States and parts of Asia (Like Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, etc etc) know about Coldstone Creamery. Me, having lived in Seoul for the past 3 years have become quite a huge fan of the American Franchise. When I came back to Vancouver I was definately missing my Coldstone fix. When people told me that Marblestone was similar to Coldstone I was totally stocked. Last night was the first time I went there and I was excited to see the many different toppings that they had (Reeses! I missed out on that in Asia)
I ordered 2 ice creams because I was paying for someone else and was shocked when the bill came to 16 bucks! WTf, I was a bit confused about the pricing because it wasn't that clearly labelled, so I think that the worker should've told me about it since I did order one of their icecreams from the menu (didn't customise it) I also ordered a candy waffle bowl just because it looked so good. However I was shocked at how terrible the actual bowl tasted like (Like Cardboard coated with chocolate) Coldstone chocolate coated WAfflecones beat marble stone cones hands down. The pricing of coldstone icecream is also more clear since they just charge for size (You pick the concoction that they have on the menu)

The icecream itself was not bad, but the stickershock just left a bad taste in my mouth. If I'm paying close to 10 bucks for an ice cream it better be made from Organic Milk or some sh*t like that. Seriously, not gonna go back.

Oh, and the Sales girl that helped me out was Aloof....man they do need better training.

My advice, go to the states if you wanna have better quality, same style icecream by coldstone! :P
