Before coming here, i was a bit skeptical due to the touristy location.

The restaurant was well decorated compared to other korean places which could either be too casual or too formal. The tables were spread out apart giving more room and privacy. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion. Prices may be higher but who gives a crap. Its worth it.

My first glance at the menu already gave me a heads up. Compared to other korean restaurants, the menu contained really nice photos which enticed me to try more. Not only did the photos look great, but the food i ordered was identical to the photos. The bibimbap was not to runny, not too crunchy, and did not contain too much vegetables. I also ordered a grilled mackeral which was grilled to perfection. The side dished were served on a single rectangular dish divided into 4 squares, one with potatos, one with seaweed, the other with kimchee and beansprouts. It was the best side dish ive ever tried in vancouver. the seaweed wasnt too thick, over cooked or doused in vinegar. Couldnt get any better.

There was also a large TV that featured korean food programs. Damn everything on Korean TV looked scrumptious. The not only did the food look hot, but the actresses were hot!

The Service was pretty friendly and professional. the waitress organized everything nicely.

My first time experience was perfect. I'll be back 4 more

The the front of the restaurant looked pretty appealing and promising with a noodle bowl statue display, a plastic display of some of their recommended dishes in a cabinet and chefs working while being stared at by curious shoppers.

The service was extremely rushed but the food turned out okay. Ignored several times even though i waved my hand. One of the waitresses dropped a bill n i even picked it up n handed it back but no thank u wtf? at least the manager was attentive.

I ordered a meat sauce with thick noodles. i nver expected noodles that were an inch thick. i was slightly embarrassed since i had a hard time pickin, eatin, chewin, mixin, relaxin, chillaxin, enjoyin, tastin n even thinkin about the ordeal. The sauce kinda tasted like a pig was blown up in HURTLOCKER.

WARNING: ORDER THIN NOODLES TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT!
The thin noodles tasted the same, except it made life more easier n enjoyable. The vegetables in the 5 veggies n beef was okay. However, the beef was fricken tender n succulent like taiwanaese KOBE beef. The teas were too sweet n the BBT was not worthin wastin my $ for.

Overall, this place is like a slightly upscale restaurant servin foodcourt BBT> noodles, veggies n beef rolls. The only thing extroardinary was the beef

Not this un... they failed nat bailey
Submitted Monday, March 15, 2010 - 10:30pm [Dine in]

I came here 3 times.

1st time was before xmas of 2010 when it was snowing in richmond, the first and last snow of the winter. I tried the burger and it was no different from the triple o burger, except it was served to you on a plate. The calamari was nothing special. The waitress seemed rushed and slightly reluctant to serve us.

Second time was when i did take away and ordered a $12 wt ever legend burger. in fact it was a legendary disappointment. the meat was thinner than super market patties, no vegetables, no sauce, no mushrooms. ????. I live really close and luckily i wasnt in a bad mood otherwise id go back n totally explode at that high school barbie girl. she was lucky that she that her looks were able to fool guys like me.

Third time i ordered another burger wit zuccini sticks to giv the place another chance. MY fault, the zucini was so hard i was better off goin to save on n makin myself a zucini salad. the burger which was another legendary or nat bailey style was no different. thin meat patty, rushed service, sticky table n garbage everywhere.

Not goin unless im starvin or if they get their act together. Im sure Nat bailey would be disappointed

A total joke
Submitted Monday, December 14, 2009 - 11:54pm [Dine in]

Passing by a few times, i decided to try this restaurant. However, in my opinion, most good Viet restaurants r usually the hole in the wall ones that DO NOT overcharge like Nooch. THanks for pointin that out Chawan...

Somehow, i already expected this restaurant to be a rip- off. I dont care about the looks of a restaurant. However, i ordered a pho, which was tasteless, filled with daikon(VIETNAMESE?), undercooked meatballs, carrots n other stuff u normally wouldnt find in a normal viet pho. The coffee tasted bitter, but had no fragrance or distinct taste that you'd find in a viet coffee. Being a chinese, i immediatly knew that the owner was up to something, tryin to fool all those who've nver tried pho. i even heard him speak cantonese to his little son and wife before drivin off in their mercedes. Not to be full myself, but workin in a job that pays more than a restaurateur, i wouldnt even think of buyin more than i hv. Afterwards, i stupidly decided to give the spring rolls n pork sandwich a try. The spring rolls had so much shrimp it literally disgusted me. The pork in the pork sandwhich was so tough that even a tiger would hv trouble chewin it. Wt made it even more humorous was that the owner/chef was cookin it on a expensive lookin grill which was an absolute joke, considering how bad the grilled pork jerky turned out. Another joke was that he even had a BIG flatscreen TV mounted on top, which showed cooking lessons. He should either hv his customers change the channel so he could pay more attention to cookin and not make shrimp rolls, pork jerky sandwich, and bland chinese rice noodles OR he should sell of his TV.

DO NOT COME HERRE IF U R LOOKIN FOR TRUE VIETNAMESE FOOD,
I surely hope this restaurant will close down due to its inauthentic food and the owner's greed, squandering money on his car, grill, tv and deceiving interior.

Before setting foot, I was extremely reluctant since it was located in the RPM, which in my opinion slightly insanitary, with cheap quality foods. My mother, who was desperate for authentic indian food finally and reluctantly gave it a try. Ironically, the service was solid and the boss was amiable and attentive. One of the servers, who said he was studying to become a pilot, was very friendly and on top of his game. He even taught us the names of the dishes that we've never heard of, which most places would not even attempt to do.The Dosa, tasting slightly foreign at first, soon began to make me realize the authenticity of the food. It was crunchy, long, thin and fragrant. Their fried appetizers, ( forgot their names) was the best ive ever tasted. The Chai or Masala tea, was not to strong, bitter, or gingery like the East is East, nor is it tastless like the Himalaya Restaurant. In fact it tasted like a perfect frothy HK style milk tea with an indian twist with a slight ginger and herb flavour to it, making it packed with tons of health benefits. As i mentioned earlier, about the sanitation of the RPM, the boss himself has managed to keep the restaurant immaculate. Please do not judge a restaurant by looking at it. I highly recommend this place. I hope more people will see it for what it is.

I recommend coming on Mondays for their Dosa special, and Wednesday for AYCE.

At first I was not expecting much from the restaurant judging by the decor and the staff being Chinese. However, the sushi fooled me to the point where I nearly over ordered. The fish itself was fresh. The rolls itself were creative and well presented even though it was on styrofoam dish. I highly recommend the BC roll, which melted in my mouth and did not taste fishy, unlike other sushi restaurants, the gigantic scallop magma roll unique only to this restaurant. Though their English is limited, the staff are respectful and attentive. The restaurant also serves Bubble tea which was also addicting. I recommend the Japanese greentea bubble tea which is literally japanese macha mixed with milk combined with pearls.

However, my recent experience was horrible and will not hinder my urge to dine here. It seems as if all restaurants within Dunsmiur have had to shutdown temporarily due to the homeless ppl that vandalize and urinate in the area. I DO NOT MEAN TO SLANDER THEM, as i do feel sorry for them. this restaurant has the potential to improve as well as the area. Homeless should be taken care of by the GOV and restaurant owner should think of moving to another area and improving.

a korean joke
Submitted Saturday, June 27, 2009 - 12:25am [Dine in]

I am a fan of korean food and I am fastidious about it. The appetizers couldve tasted better, especially the kimchi that tasted like supermarket kimchi. The grilled mackerel was over grilled. Japchae had too much oil and pepper. Bibimbap was average. The bill came to $50 for only me and my mom! I could drive downtown or to Burnaby and spend $20 t $30 on fresh homemade and authentic Korean food and feel as stuffed as a pig. However, the service and he decor was decent enough. I recommend this restaurant to meat lovers.

Reminds me of Shanghai
Submitted Friday, June 26, 2009 - 4:38pm [Dine in]

I am a customer who enjoys crowded restaurants. I do not mind waiting. I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. Cmon ppl! The staff have to work day and night. The food is always consistently fresh and scrumptious. Anything deepfried, especially the beancurd, will always be crispy worth dying for. Every peice of noodle is worth dying for. Xiao long bao( steamed dragon bun) and ( panfried pork dumpling) sheng jian bao is just as good as my dinning experience in China. The only setback is the server's attitude that I endured only once when the restaurant was packed.

Funky and cool
Submitted Friday, June 26, 2009 - 4:24pm [Dine in]

Though it might be a bit hidden, the restaurant has this funky and cool feel ideal for ppl who want to chill, especially for teenagers like me. The dishes like the taiwanese fried rice and stew i had, tasted authentic and freshly made. The chicken and pork was crispy and tender which definitely made it worth its price. The drinks were good quality and not just mixed with the cheap syrup sugar concoction normally sold at bubble tea joints. Another leading aspect is the liveliness of the restaurant which gives the restaurant a friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the remote that they installed, making dinning more convenient and COOL! THanks to their late closure!

Good decor... better than averge k- food with good price
Submitted Friday, June 26, 2009 - 4:10pm [Dine in]

At first, I thought it would be overpriced judging by the deco. I was amazed to see a well designed restaurant serve authentic korean food that costs the same amount as the some of the other Korean restaurants on robson. Though I am not Korean, I enjoy eating an listening to ppl speak in Korean. The kimchi tasted not only fresh, but was also homemade. every dish was well presented. I was only disappointed with the bibimbap which was smaller and looked better than it tasted. Other than that, I am satisfied with the restaurant even though it might not be considered the best.

I was forced to go here! The decor was fine. Sushi was of lowest quality, kinda made me lose my appettite. At least the fried foods was a little bit better than expected and not premade. The service was decent and the food came on time. AYCE menu was pretty limited, especially the sushi which was only tuna and salmon. Westernized sushi...

Fresh sushi in the middle of nowhere
Submitted Friday, June 26, 2009 - 3:44pm [Dine in]

This has got to be some of the freshest sushi ive tasted made by japanese people. Though the restaurant itself was a bit tiny and cramped, I was surprised by the cleanliness and the quick service they provided. Everything was simple and authentic. The price was reasonable and generous since they also offer stamps that lead to a free sushi or roll. Thumbs up! and MORE REVIEWS PPL!!!!!

At first, I was hesitant to come here, due to my previous experience with other restaurants in the Landsdowne shopping mall. However, the restaurant was cleaner and more decorous than expected. The food was almost like what i've eaten in Hong Kong. Even though the server looked a bit overworked, our food managed to come within 5 minutes. My only concern is the price which is unusually high. But since it is a 24 hr restaurant, i could cut them some slack.
