Judging by the reviews here, I have to suspect most have been left by management or friends as most are first time reviewers. I have been here 3 times but likely won't be back as there are so many other Indian restaurants in the Surrey area that are better overall.
My main complaint is the chintzy servings of meat in the entrees. Most other Indian restaurants give twice as much or more. They would certainly get a much better rating if they increased that in their portions, as the flavor of the sauces is as good as any others I've tried.
Certainly the service was up to par...friendly and efficient and the ambiance is nice and clean.....but how about putting in more that the 5 or 6 small pieces that seem to come in each order

Have to agree with the previous reviewer as some of the previous reviews seem a little suspicious.
Went hear with my girlfriend a while ago with a groupon.....When I ordered the 2 piece fish & chips, I was told that they would only offer the 1 piece even though the groupon specifically offered this......was told the manager just decided not to honor it.
So....I went with the 1 piece rather than put up a stink. Girlfriend ordered the Shepards pie. After a 30 minute wait for a dried out salty appetizer of salmon bites, we waited another 45 minutes for our appetizers. There were only 2 other couples in the place at the time and I could see they were impatient as well......seeing that the cook seemed to be milling around more than cooking.
My girlfriends Shepards pie was small bland & tasteless....What a waste of 2 hours...will never return as there are so many other great places to eat on the beach in White Rock

On a recommendation from an acquaintance I decided to give this place a shot. It is described as old fashioned. i would just call it "old". Although it was clean, it is very tired and outdated. The food was only acceptable as was the service. It felt very similar to a "greasy spoon" that I used to frequent in East Vancouver several years ago, although the food wasn't as good and it was more costly, probably because it is in that fashionable district called "White Rock"
