A Nice Change
Submitted Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 5:54pm [Dine in]

For many years I have been going to the Earle's & Cactus Club which are within two blocks of Milestones. I found the ambiance much nicer at Milestones as it is much quieter and a lot more relaxing then their competitors. I think Milestones is a little less expensive and I liked the items on their menu. Parking at Earle's and Cactus Club can be challenging but I noticed Milestones had free valet parking

What A Burger !!
Submitted Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 5:47pm [Dine in]

If you can eat the Burger & all the fries then you have an amazing appetite. The Burger was so juicy with a great bun and a huge serving of fantastic fries. Next time I will skip the fries and go for a milk shake or a malt as I saw people drinking them and they looked so good. THe place is so bright & clean with a nice counter seats. I wished I lived closer as I would eat thre often

Used to be better !!!
Submitted Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 5:39pm [Dine in]

I have gone to the different Solly's for many years and I think as they have grown that they seem to take their customers for granted. Today for instance there was eight people in line with one server and three people in the back doing something else. The prices of their bagels has sky rocketed over the past couple of years and the quality and quantity remains so - so. Today I ordered 36 bagels to go and when I got home I notice they only put 32 in the bags. About a $ 3.00 problem but not worth driving back. There isn't many other bagel companies in the city so I expect they can act the way they do.

Always Dependable
Submitted Tuesday, September 23, 2008 - 11:57am [Dine in]

Have been going to Woody's for years and always have a decent meal and always get top notch service. It is much nicer now that smoking isn't allowed & there are fewer people eating there because they can't smoke. They have good daily specials and serve very good pizza. I understand that the evenings aren't so nice & quiet as they have live entertainment

What a View
Submitted Monday, September 22, 2008 - 6:35pm [Dine in]

Have been to this place countless times but never had a table by the window as the place is always full and those tables are the first to go. For some strange reason the place was fairly quiet so I had a great view of the water, mountains and Stanley Park. We had a great server who kept everything happening and the food is always good but quite comparable to Earles & Cactus Club but a bit more expensive which is understandable with that great view

Hasn't Changed
Submitted Monday, September 22, 2008 - 6:26pm [Dine in]

I used to go here on a regular basis but moved so I don't go often but popped in last week. It hasn't changed and the carpets still look like they need a good cleaning as does much of the restaurant. On a plus side the service was good and so was the food. It only took minutes to deliver the eats and I noticed other diners ordering huge hamburgers with lots of fries but I had the Chinese food. Interesting experience and a good people watching place

Huge Portions
Submitted Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 6:06pm [Dine in]

I was blown away by the size & quality of my order. I had two pieces of Cod & chips & the fish covered the plate. I had ordered a bowl of clam chowder but luckily the server forgot to bring it which was great as I could have never eaten it with the size of the meal. I was next to the kitchen & I noticed they use fresh potatoes and cut them by hand and you sure can tell the difference in the taste compared with frozen french fries. The place has been there for decades and never been updated but I still found it cozy and I will return.

Relaxing
Submitted Wednesday, September 10, 2008 - 9:46pm [Dine in]

For many years I have stopped by this old pub for a good pint of beer. It is still serving the old pint with a handle on your glass and I don't know another pub in the Tri- Cities that still serves a pint. Since they don't allow smoking the place smells a lot better & the servers have been there for years offering good service. They serve a lot of old English food like bangers & mash in a real nice setting-- I shall return

very interesting
Submitted Monday, September 8, 2008 - 12:16pm [Dine in]

I have never even heard of a roti but have driven by this place countless times.. It is very tiny with only one person dpomg the cooking, serving and taking the cash. My only concern is that she is wearing gloves while preparing the food after handling the cash but you can't see her in the kitchen so you hope she is being clean. The Roti was fantastic but I should have ordered the medium spice instead of the mild. I think it was $ 8.50 and I was stuffed. The owner is very friendly and I shall return

Wow-- How Do THey Make A Profit??
Submitted Tuesday, August 5, 2008 - 5:08pm [Dine in]

THis restaurant looks like it is brand new and it is decorated very nice and really clean. THe signage is very poor and I have driven by it hundreds of times and have never noticed it. Parking is not great but find a spot & enjoy the great service and food. We both had clubhouse sandwiches and bowls of their home made soup. The sandwiches were $ 6.95 which came with a small salad. Excellent value and they gave us chocolates with the bill & even walked us to the door. Try it !!

Great Italian Food
Submitted Saturday, July 12, 2008 - 8:46pm [Dine in]

For many years we have gone to Darios for Italian Food and still consider it a very outstansing restaurant. Last week we went to Cioppinos in Yaletown which is also very good. Vita Bella is better than both of these restaurants and is 1/3 less expensive then Cioppinos. A great place to go and our only comment is that some money should be spent to update the restaurant as it is looking a little tired. The staff make Dinner like getting invited to their homes and we will return

What a Dive
Submitted Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 6:22pm [Dine in]

For many years this restaurant was called Craig's and was a nice place to have Breakfast or Lunch. It has had new owners for a few months and it doesn't look like it has been cleaned since then. The guy next to me left before his food arrived as he had been waithing for 25 minutes. Another couple came in looked around had coffee and left before ordering. They had a sign on the door closed at 12.30 for staff meeting???? I only saw a staffof two but we were rushed out of there at 12.40 and many people tried to get in for lunch but the door was locked. Whi in their right mind has a meeting during the lunch period.

Submitted Wednesday, July 2, 2008 - 7:05pm [Dine in]

A nice spot for lunch. Good people watching table near the patio and a great Pizza. Ordered the Medium for two and that's all you needed. Nice relaxing place with fairly good service. It must be popular as it started filling up by 12.30 but we still managed to get our food quickly. I noticed the lunches being served and the quantities looked huge & very yummy

Wine Size
Submitted Saturday, June 28, 2008 - 5:31pm [Dine in]

Truly a fine restaurant and we enjoyed our meal. When my wine arrived I asked the server if that was a sample as the glass seemed so small. He claims it was 5 ounces and I must wonder why they don't provide six ounces which most restaurants seem to do. We had a nice bowl of soup which was $ 15.00 which seemed a little pricey but we shall return

Great Fish & Chips
Submitted Saturday, June 28, 2008 - 8:57am [Dine in]

Probably the best fish & chips I have eaten in ages. I was amazed how quickly they cooked them and how promptly I was served. I noticed they have a lunch special of all you can eat for $ 9.95 which includes a drink-- Great Valu & I shall return. Also had the soccer game on the TV and a few guys enjoying the game with cold beer & fish & chips !!

NIce View-- Bad Food
Submitted Friday, June 27, 2008 - 3:19pm [Dine in]

A lovely setting with a great water view and a good server. Probably the worst fish & chips of my life especially the fries. They were cold , hard and tasted like they were cooked last week. Also noticed the air condtioning was so cold that people kept moving from certain tables and it wasn't even that hot outside so didn't quite understand why they had it cranked so high. My companion enjoyed his beef dip so we will give it another try

Not a Relaxing Place but Good
Submitted Saturday, June 21, 2008 - 4:03pm [Dine in]

This place is so efficient that it allmost makes it unrelaxing. The servers are at your table in a minute and they send the orders in via hand held computer & usually the food arrives under 10 minutes. The portions are huge and under $ 10.00. As you finish your last bite they are there to clear off your table & present your bill. Great if you are in a hurry but sometimes I find it a little rushed but I always go back.

Great View-- And That all they Have
Submitted Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 1:39pm [Dine in]

Have tried this restaurant twice-- once for Dinner and once for Lunch. Both times the service was just terrible especially at Lunch where we only saw our server to take the order & drop off the cheque. At Lunch they charge $ 19.95 for Fish & Chips which consisted of two small pieces of overcooked Fish and a hadfull of French Fries plus a limp excuse for a salad. I think if I went back I would only have drinks in the bar as the Restaurant has a great view and the Bar looks comfortable but would hope the service there is better than the restaurant
