Shanghai Wonderful Restaurant8380 Lansdowne Road, #110, Richmond
Love it

Shanghai Wonderful used to be Shanghai Wind on No 3 road. Since the change in location and name, their reasonably priced menu had changed. Prices are higher but still worth it for the quality of food. Steamed pork buns, cold chicken noodles, crispy rice with sauce, and bean paste puffs for dessert are dishes i recommend. Interior design has been stepped up in this location. They modified a former Bread Garden interior to suit their needs to function as a chinese restaurant.

Inexpensive diner food that offers nice sized portions. The service is snappy and quick. Chinese owned, so other than typical breakfast and burgers, they also have chinese food. Environment is a bit out of date but atleast its clean. I have no problem sitting in 60s furniture for a cheap mozza burger combo.

Good quality

Nice little small place on King Ed. All the flavours i have tried have been great. Fresh fruit menu makes for higher quality drinks. Only set back is the establishment has a particular smell. If you are planning to take-out, this is not really a problem.

Money for Mediocre

I have been here twice. I love the modern style fused with touches of victorian style. Although the interior design is impressive, i find that the food is only ok. Nothing special. Service was up to par, and dessert was nicely presented.

Exceeded expectations

I was expecting another overpriced restaurant with mediocre food and service, but we recieved quite the opposite. Every course we had was flawless. Presentation, temperature, quality and quantity was all top notch. The minor added details like the complimentary quiche, pomme frites and chocolate crocodiles are a nice touch. Nice cozy environment, with perfectly set lighting. I will definitely come back.

went last night, not many ppl in there on a monday night. but the server was great. we ordered some spring rolls, edamame and 2 ice buckets. it was my last get together before i left the country so i got a bit buzzed. i ended up knocking over one of the buckets, and smashed 3 un opened bottles. the server was nice enough to clean it up and REPLACE the three bottles of beer! the whole time she had a smile on her face. if thats not great service, i dont know what is. we ended up tipping her well.

love the captain crunch roll! friendly staff, creative menu. The only thing i find lacking is the interior. Not sure if i'm just picky but the atmosphere could be improved. but overall, i still recommend this place. decent prices
