I had heard a lot of good things about this little place from friends and family who still live in White Rock and with a couple of hours to kill we decided to finally check it out on a sunny December afternoon. Inside was quaint and comfy with a great view of the the bay and the pier and the food was as good as everybody told me it was. it was very busy and the lone server coped admirably. We tried the soup of the day, cauliflower and parmesan and the clam chowder, fresh, hot and delicious with home baked brown bread and some sweet potato fries.
If a restaurant can get the basics right I'm happy and Slainte did not dissappoint. We will return in the Summer to try their famous Fish and chips, according to my in-laws they are the best ever. Great service btw. and a good beer selection.
