Granny had an off day.
Submitted Tuesday, January 15, 2013 - 12:47pm [Take-out]

Early morning coffee and scone just as Market was open. Granny was dealing with another customer when I arrived at the Order Counter, rolling her eyes at the slow change counting coming from the elderly patron. Granny was obviously peeved, scowling as she prepared the order (a crepe.) She took our orders and without as much as a thank you, shoved the order at us. As there is a small adjoining table and seating areas, it was most discomforting to have to watch her give similar nasty service to others who followed. The coffee was ok but the scone had a piece of something in it that almost broke my tooth. I will pass on Granny and head to where there were lineups from other vendors. Obviously people who know better, are willing to stand in line. I will no also.

Greek Dinners for Pick Up
Submitted Saturday, September 22, 2012 - 4:11pm [Take-out]

We have eaten within the Restaurant previously and thoroughly enjoyed, even though the service was touch and go due to all the diners arriving within a short time. Decided Takeout for an easy meal at home, consisting of Calamari, Pitas, Greek Salad and Roast Lamb. All were freshly cooked and ready on my arrival! We were most pleasantly surprised with the superb quality, including the Calamari which was heavenly. The Salad and the Lamb were all excellent, rich with flavour and ingredients. I prefer to eat in, next time we will as I want to sample the Desserts! Thank you for a lovely meal within Lynn Valley and North Shore.

Not so good
Submitted Monday, August 6, 2012 - 3:39pm [Dine in]

Popped in with a friend for a quick bite, mid afternoon, Calamari and Fried Greek Cheese, and Pita bread. We were seated next to the kitchen/bathroom in an area that was constant traffic area. When the waitress did take our order, we were shocked to hear the kitchen staff only feet away, arguing and raised voices. Whe our Saganaki did arrive it was luke warm and already rubbery. The piece of cheese itself was very small portion. We finished the cheeses before our Calamari arrived and that was a major letdown as the squid was mostly bit ends, all crunch little meat. It was also a sad small portion that was not at all what I had expected. Sadly, the waitress didnt ask or enquire if we enjoyed anything, she dropped the plates on the table and was off. Our waters were refilled by the busser, who also noted the lackj of care. We had just figured a quick snack would tide us over til dinner, but on the way home we had to stop on Fraser St. to buy samosas and aloo tiki. I would not come here if you care about taste or service. It has gone downhill for some time. I would rather pay more and have staff available that are gracious and not rushing around like chickens with heads cut off. Another old fave bites the dust for us.

Can't be bothered going back.

After numerous times swearing I wil not return because of the poor service. The reviews here are correct. I will not return. Just not worth the bad vibes if you don't eat fast or tip big. Times we have ordered and picked up - only to find the order has not even been started by the kitchen (untuil it is paid for apparently.) Nah. We're done here.

Food Lacking Individual Tastes!
Submitted Sunday, March 27, 2011 - 11:22am [Dine in]

I had high hopes seeing a new place opening in the area but was sadly and suprisingly disapointed. The three dishes we ordered all were swimming in a soupy vegetable concoction rather than the smooth textures expected. The seperate dishes all tasted similar and even though the portions were large there was not a lot of taste. I was never a big fan of that Davie Street Restaurant so maybe that explains why. Sorry to say.
