It's an unassuming, almost uninviting place from the street but very cosy inside.... The street that it takes its name from might be the worst thing about it.
It took us a moment to adjust to the warm orange lighting but it works and the room temperature was perfect for the season. Our table was small and central but not unprivate. I was a bit surprised to see some wine stains on my chair though.
Service was great and we didn't wait for a thing. We were seated right away and my water glass was always full thanks to some invisible waiter. My wife's salad showed up on two plates from my comment that I might have a taste, the waitress anticipated and offered perfectly on that and everything else.
The Caesar salad was absolutely awesome, the bread was good. I had the braised beef and mostly enjoyed it although it came with broccoli, mushrooms, rice; foods that I'm not crazy about. Probably won't get that next time. My wife (and I, heheh) had the Tagliatelle and it was incredible. For dessert my wife (a baker, pastry chef) had the chocolate torte and was humming mm,mmm, mmm until it was done. Reasonably priced and decadent, save some room. Her advice was to eat the torte fast before it cools. My Monte Cristo coffee was excellent and was measured generously, get a regular coffee if caffeine is what you're after. :-)
