Went to Cirque De Soleil tonight and wanted some wings afterwards, so we came to St Augustine's. As soon as we walked in, it was a bad vibe.. about 6 tables and 4 servers were behind the counter talking. We stood around for a bit even though 2 of the servers saw us come in. We decided to just grab a table ourselves, since noone greeted us or brought us to tables.
We sat around for about 3 minutes, then waved at the servers that were chatting in case they didn't see us. I got eye contact with one of them, but she went back to talking instead. I waved this time, and she gets a different server to bring us menus. Our server had gross tattoos all the way up her arm (but it's Commercial Dr, so it is to be expected), she dropped off some menus and monotonously told us what the food specials were.
We ordered wings, a pizza and 2 iced teas. By the time our food came, we were pretty much done our iced teas.. any other establishment would have refilled it automatically, but none came.
By the time we were done our food.. pizza was OK, wings were small but good.. we still didn't get an iced tea refill. We sat around for another 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to refill the iced teas, but gave up on that and waved at them again for a bill. Again, I got one of the server's eye contact, and I even said "Bill Please" and again, she looks away and continues talking to the other servers.
Finally, my boyfriend has to go up to the counter and break up their little chat session. Rather than one of them giving him the bill, they had to go to the back and get our tattoed server. She ends up giving the wrong CC slip to my BF, and has to come to our table to have him sign the correct one.
He signs '0' for the tip option, and she actually has the nerve to call him a Cheapo!!! My BF tells her that we got no service at all, and that we pay for what we get, and left.
We are a young couple who are fairly well-dressed (especially since we were coming from Cirque) and did not appreciate the non-service at all! We dine-out 3-4 times a week and always pay minimum 15%...sometimes up to 25% if it is excellent service.
We will definitely never be going back to this place again and telling everyone the same!!

Just got home from dining here, and am STUFFED!
When we walked in, both servers looked up, acknowledged us, pointed us to a table to sit at. We waited for a long enough time for me to have to go up and ask them for menus.
The appetizers were yummy ... they could've spared a bit more potatoes... and the food came quick.
We didn't really understand the rice thing .. where they scoop the rice out for you, then put tea in the empty pot. We read reviews on here before going, so were expecting crispy deliciousness at the bottom of the pot, but it just tasted like what it was..tea with chunks of rice in it.
I had the medium tofu dumpling soup, and my boyfriend had the medium seafood tofu soup. Both were very good except the shrimps in the seafood tofu soup were a lot of work for hardly any meat.
Other than the service, this was a positive experience and will mostly likely be back to try the beef/pork tofu soup, as this restaurant has lots of potential, just not enough staff to support it.

We've been going here almost once a week for years and have watched this restaurant flourish. Unfortunately, they out-did themelves ....they can no longer handle the capacity of people who have found out about this hole-in-the-wall sushi joint that serves the 'Awesome Roll'.
When we first started coming here years ago, you got seated quickly and the service was prompt. As the months progressed, we noticed that it took longer and longer to get food to our table, so we started phoning in our order prior to going there. This worked for a while, but gradually, again, we started noticing that we would have to wait longer and longer before our food is ready.
So now, we call in atleast 2 hours before our usual dinner time (you get an additional 5% off your bill if you pay cash), but the last time we were there, we waited for more than 20 mins even though we gave them 2 hour notice!
In the end, the food and price still makes it worth the wait... if the owner of this restaurant reads these reviews... Perhaps you should buy out the restaurant next door that is ALWAYS sitting empty and expand! You obviously have the clientele!
