We visited this restaurant to celebrate an important occasion and we were delighted with our experience overall. The Araxi tower of seafood was fabulous, although a bit pricey.
All mains were beautifully presented and satisfied all those at the dinner (a large group). The bread was delicious, however the risotto was a little on the high cholesterol side and needed a bit more character. Desserts were superb as were the house nougat which came with the considerable bill.
We ate in the Wine Room, which added significantly to the feeling of a " special evening". The overall decor was delightful and appropriate for a fine dining restaurant.
The wine list contained some excellent choices and a wide range of varieties at a wide range of prices, and staff knowledge of wines and food was greatly appreciated.
We were delighted by the lovely atmosphere of the Kettle of Fish.
We settled down for what we hoped were unique Canadian fish dishes, but whilst they were tasty, they were not special in any way.
The service was outstanding: subtle, thoughtful, timely and courteous throughout the night.
A little more initiative on the food side would be desirable, to make this restaurant more worthwhile for international travellers.
Having booked this restaurant 20 000km from home, we were interested to see how useful the ratings were when we finally ate at Milestones. We were a large group of 14, half adults and half teenager/young adults. The restaurant was warm and inviting, attractively decorated in a modern yet cosy style. The food, particularly the steaks, and notably the prime rib was of a high standard for large families eating out. The chocolate Iberra pudding/cake was absolutely to die for.
The service was laid back and friendly, and unrushed. All 14 were comfortably fed (a few starters and a few desserts with many spoons included) for around around $45 per head including wine, tips and taxes. We enjoyed it so much we went back another time during our holiday there.
