Bin was a template for excellence. The most talked about place in Vancouver. How the times have changed. Food was mediocre at best. Tiny portions for $16 a plate!!!! You could almost count the grains of rice in the risotto. When price and performance go off in different directions so do the clientele. Will not be recommending nor returning. Shoddy.

This was my second visit to La Buca. My first experience was exceptional. What changed? First off was the season. Being winter the cold wind blew in throughout my meal. They had erected a wool curtain that did little to keep the room warm. Second was the size of the portions. I shared a starter. Had my own main course. Then had order another main to share so I could honestly say to myself that I was no longer hungry. The bill then arrived without request.
There is no doubt that the food is good. But I should not have to chase the remains of my sauce around my plate with a bread stick in order to persuade my stomach that it was full. I have heard this time and time again. Restaurants as their popularity rises their portions shrink.
At the prices they charge I really do not appreciate dodging staff in a busy kitchen to get to a filthy single unisex toilet with a door that does not properly open.
