Great food but too much salt
Submitted Thursday, February 24, 2011 - 11:44am [Dine in]

I love this place. Been coming here for the past 4 years at least twice a month.
Looks like the place has new owners. We ordered butter chicken (the best), prawn masala, vegetable byriani, garlic nan and a lamb dish. I asked the waitress if it was possible not add any extra salt as one of my guest had high blood pressure and could not too much salt. She said she would tell the kitchen.
When our order came in, the dishes where quite salty, even more than previous visits. The worst was the prawn masala, it was so salty that it was uneatable.
I will still eat in this place but I hope in my next visit they will cut down on the salt

not what we ordered
Submitted Sunday, August 9, 2009 - 10:17am [Dine in]

For over two years and at least twice a month, I have been picking up their pastries for my office staff plus numerous times for my family.
We all love their mango cheesecakes, coffee cakes, fruit pastries, etc.
Three months ago I went in just as they were opening and their delivery van was just leaving. There were only four strawberry/mango cheesecakes on their display case. I told the lady that I wanted an assortment of pastries plus 5 mango and 5 strawberry cheesecakes ( I do not like the mango and strawberry on the same cheesecake as I find the strawberry takes over and you don't taste the mango)
The lady told me that they were in the back and she took the tray with the four left over strawberry/mango cheesecakes to the back. When she came out she had my order in a small tray and proceeded to put them in the box.
When I opened the box at the office I noticed that she put the four strawberry/mango cheesecakes in the box and they were not fresh as there was a skin over the cake. I went on their website and sent an e-mail to the owner Ron Cheung but my e-mail came back as un-deliverable.
I have not gone back and I am still angry at the experience.

Best Greek Food
Submitted Sunday, February 22, 2009 - 3:59pm [Dine in]

I work in Annacis Island and together with my co-workers we have lunch at Thea's at least 2 times a month.
We have never been disappointed. The salads are always fresh and crispy. The food have always been consistently great and the two waitresses have always been charming.
If you crave for great Greek Food you will not be disapointed.

Great food

I work in Annacis Island so I frequent this place at least twice a month.
I have tried the Singaporean Udon and it's the best I have ever eaten.
My co-workers all love their humongous soups especially the Wonton Ramen, BBQ duck Ramen, Spicy Laksa soup, etc.
The nice thing is that when we finish we all feel we had something healthy. I do not think they have any MSG in theiir dishes.
Service is great and the place is clean.

Good experience
Submitted Sunday, November 30, 2008 - 8:47pm [Dine in]

My wife and another couple were planning to go to Antons. The line up was long so we decided to try Bombay Bhel. We were seated right away and the place was 80% full.
They brought our drinks right away and we placed our orders. The food came in 20 minutes and it was excellent. The portions are the same as other East Indian establishments we have visited.
The prawn masala was great, curry chicken was perfect and the Nan was excellent. The best part was the Mango cheesecake, it was out of this world.
I guess we came at the right time because we did not encounter any of the problems the other diners had.
I will definetly come back.

Rosa's Cucina Italiana2331 Clarke Street, Port Moody
disappointed
Submitted Saturday, November 3, 2007 - 1:51pm [Dine in]

We heard from our neighbours that the food in this place was great, so on our 20th anniversary I took my husband late Friday night. The place was packed but we found an empty table by the door. Rosa came over right away and asked us what we wanted to drink. We are recovering alcoholics so alcohol was out of the question same with anything with Caffeine as it was late at night, so we ordered two glasses of water. Rosa's attittude changed completelly and made us feel cheap.
We ordered the shrimp fettucini and chicken fettucini, my husband asked her not to add Parmesan cheese to his dish. Rosa snapped that they do not add it on their dishes.
The food was so great, we decided to order two dishes for our son and daughter. After Rosa came to pick up our signed visa bill, my husband asked Rosa for a small container of Parmesan as my kids love the stuff. Rosa snapped that they have added it to the dish already. When we got home there was no Parmasen added.
The food was great but I will never go back with that kind of service.
