(2)I wish people were more carefull when they write reviews. I just went to this place, because of the good reviews and it is simply gross. If you haven't been to a lot of restaurants of that type, please mention it in your review, to forewarn others.
I rated the food "poor" because:
- The miso soup was so salty neither of us could have a second spoon (there were 3 of us).
- The sushi is slightly better than what you'd get in a convenient store.
- The gyoza is a bland and cheap mix of rice noodles and some green mashed up food, nothing else.
Service:
The service seemed alright, although it was a take out, so it is hard to judge.
Value:
This is about the same quality (or lack thereof) as Suishaya and SushiTown and all those low-level sushi restaurants which seem to be popping up around every corner in the TriCities. Not the quality of a Tojo's, for example, which would get a 5 star rating.
Ambiance:
Can't judge (take out), but DineHere doesn't allow for N/A rating. It was mostly empty, so not much ambiance.
If you are looking for a cheap yet somewhat edible sushi, I recommend Nagano or Kisoya, which are in the same price range.
Never again. For the first time in our life, my husband and I actually did not finish our plates! In a Greek restaurant! Amazing. We had a few bites and that was it.
Many friends have told me this is a good restaurant. So either it was a bad day or I can't trust their tastes, but a good restaurant should never have bad days... you don't want to fall on one.
Avoid it. Go to Coquitlam or Burnaby, anything is better than this.
We have ordered from this company a few times now for staff parties or meetings and the food is really not worth the price. Items were also missing (twice) and it arrived cold once.
I can't comment on the ambiance, this is a catering company, but DineHere does not give the option of N/A.
They do make an effort to have different food styles, so if you are not a "fancy" eater, you might enjoy it, but if your are looking for classy high quality food, go somewhere else.
