Didn't think healthy food could be so good.....
Submitted Thursday, January 6, 2011 - 3:04pm [Dine in]

I have always driven by this place and always wanted to try this vegetarian restaurant.

I had the Tight Spin Salad, tried a little bit of the Pesto Imprisoned and the Mingling Yams. Definately yummers!!!

Can't say much about the service though. It feels like our server (a hippy like guy) didn't seem like he really wanted to work. Although the little cooks look like they were running around like little elves.

Don't expect any heat. I figured if I was having a salad that wasn't hot and my body had no heat going through it, they would put some heat on in the middle of winter.

Would go back and try their nachos for dinner. They don't have it on their lunch menu!

Loved everything about this place.......
Submitted Thursday, January 6, 2011 - 2:51pm [Dine in]

It is an incredibly outstandingly good. We started off with the Crab and Shrimp Cake and then I had the Belizian Prawn Open Ravioli and it was soooo......delicious, I almost fell over. I also tried a little bit of the spaghettini with all the seafood. OMG.....soooo.......good. The bread and dip that they provided was also really good.

The service was wonderful. We walked in without a reservation. It was full, but they went out of their way to find us a table. The servers were so nice as well.

Didn't have room for dessert, but will go back and try some next time.

Loved the food there. I heard they were pretty well known for their sandwiches as well.

Their service was quite scary. I gave them a $50 bill for a $43 lunch and they never came back with change. Did they think that I was going to give them a $7 tip. Hmmmm.......

Overall, it was a great experience and for an Vietnamese restaurant, this place was pretty clean.

Submitted Thursday, January 6, 2011 - 10:51am [Dine in]

This is a whole in the wall place. I have driven by it many time and have always wanted to try it out as it seems like there is always people waiting outside, but this place isn't really that big.

I went a couple of times and everytime, I see the same lady. Nicest thing alive. She gives great service! I think the food is pretty tasty there as well. For the amount food, it was not expensive at all.

Love it! Will definatley go back!!!

Great Burger in the corner......
Submitted Thursday, January 6, 2011 - 10:17am [Dine in]

I didn't know they moved here. I found it through a post on facebook from a friend. I tried it, and I really enjoyed it.

The burgers were great, and it didn't sit in the stomach like most of the greasy burgers you get from burger joints. Although my BC dog was a little dry for my liking.

The lady was incredibly nice. There was a mixup on the order, so she gave us the wrong order for free and fixed us up with the correct order.

I thought it was a bit expensive, but all worth it.

Will go back and try their milkshakes.

Quick in and out authentic malaysian/singapore food
Submitted Monday, November 15, 2010 - 4:02pm [Dine in]

The stuff on the menu was very authentic. The people there was very nice as well.

This is a quick in and out food joint. Almost like a fast food for malaysian/singapore food. Their deep friend vegetable, fritter like, thingys are really good.

Good for the value. Quite economical for a quick lunch or dinner.

Will definately go back!!!

Mediocre all around!!
Submitted Friday, November 12, 2010 - 3:57pm [Dine in]

I have heard many good thing about this chain from friend and the media had a report on this one time. I thought it was worth a try. I was disappointed.

I went with a couple of friends. We all had lukewarm/cold coffees. How could that possible be, when they actually put a thermometer in it to heat it up. They were trying to put this fancy design on it, which took another 5 minutes or so. When I got my coffee, it was disppointing. If I ordered a cold coffee, it would have been better. But when my coffee is half cold and half hot, I'm disappointed.

The service was a couple of little young girls/boys chatting up their personal life, while they are not even thinking of giving me a cold coffee.

Never going back!

Nothing really special
Submitted Friday, November 12, 2010 - 3:44pm [Dine in]

The menu was quite limited. Although the raw fish was quite fresh.

I was more so disappointed because it seemed like that had this sweet and sour porkchop thing that they were trying to sell off. It was nothing but salty. I think it's pretty authentic, as it was owned and operated by Japanese people.

The ambiance was pretty nice, but not outstanding.

The value was okay, for the limited choices.

Maybe going back if they had more selection in the future.

Cheap on the condiments
Submitted Friday, November 12, 2010 - 3:29pm [Dine in]

This was pretty good in terms of food, but they were shy to put the food together.

I have gone to a place with the same idea. You pick the soup, the noodle and the two condiments. However, they have a side menu, that you have to pay more for certain things and not included in the meal. So does that really mean that you get a free condiment? Hmmm.........

I didn't quite get the concept if they didn't want to put stuff in the noodle. So you really have to pay more, where as other restaurants with the same concept don't have that kind of extra expense.

The service was really good. I found that the people there were really nice, both times I was there.

The ambiance is the same as any chinese cafe. Not outstanding, but pretty good for a place to get together and eat.

The price was pretty good too, but I could get better for the same price.

Submitted Monday, September 20, 2010 - 11:29am [Take-out]

I had always ordered from the Kingsway Sushi Garden and they have always been good. I don't see why this should be any different.

I have dined in here and the service was fine for me. I order take out here almost once a week and they have always been good.

The only problem that I think they have is the parking.

I thought everything was pretty solid for this place. No complaints after going here a couple of times. I enjoyed my little experience.

The food took a little while, but I would rather them take a little while for good food, than quick service with crappy food!

Will go back!

My new noodle place!!!
Submitted Monday, September 20, 2010 - 11:13am [Dine in]

For a chinese restaurant, I thought this place was pretty outstanding.

There was a long line up, but for a good restaurant, I was willing to wait.

For $7.50, i got to pick my soup, my noodle and two kinds of toppings. I picked the tom yum goong soup, the udon noodle, deep friend fish cake and beef. The portions were VERY generous! AND yum it was sooooo........good. I also got a drink (cold drink was an addition $1), the lemon Ribena was awsome. But a side of deep fried pork chop was an extra $1.50. Double yummers!

I thought the servers there were not friendly, but they were not, not friendly. Pretty typical for a chinese restaurant. I think I am a little use to it.

Will definately go back!!!!

An Absolutely Disgusting Experience!!!!
Submitted Monday, September 20, 2010 - 10:51am [Dine in]

I was definately appalled. I don't think I have EVER seen anything as horrible as this. I really don't know how to put my experience into words.

My friend had gone into the restaurant to wait in line, while the rest of us park the car. The waitress will not give him a table until his whole entire party was there. That part I understand. However, when we showed up, she asked if we wanted to share a table. When we said no, she was definately disgusted and told us that it will be a very long wait. She also reiterated that same line to the next couple of people.

She finally called out our number 5 minutes later (so much for the long wait). She pointed us to a direction, we went and saw no table. She then walked over to a table, pointed at it (with people still sitting there), tapped on their bill, while telling us that they will be leaving soon.

When I sat down, I was right by the isle. The push carts caught my chair, everytime they went by and when they couldn't really fit to get by, they pushed and pushed until they can.

While the next table had 8 people. After a little while, the lady put two more settings and put new people at the table. The people told them that they were there first and didn't want to share. She told them that she has to do business and this is the way it has to be.

NEVER, EVER GOING BACK!!!!! FOR SURE, FORE SURE!!!!

A bland hangout
Submitted Monday, May 10, 2010 - 3:10pm [Dine in]

Went to a mother's day lunch and was disappointed.

The food was quite bland. I tried the Tan-Tan noodles, wasn't too sure what I was eating, couldn't taste anything. Tried the peppery & salt chicken wings, I think it was bland. The deep fried donuts were not cooked. We asked them to check if it was suppose to be that way. They told us that it was not rising very nicely and that they will not have anymore. They asked us to pick something else from the menu.

The value for a chinese restaurant was okay.

They had a nice decor, and definately clean to an asian restaurant.

Not be going back.

So, so.......but didn't shine
Submitted Monday, May 10, 2010 - 2:59pm [Dine in]

Was here for DOV.

The bread/crackers was good with the dip. I tried the mussels, which only had a couple in the dish, why put some that were not open (dead) and I can't eat in the dish? Hmmm...... I had a couple of spoonfuls of the onion soup. It was somewhat good in the beginning, but once got to the bottom, I felt like they put salt in the bottom of the bowl and never stirred it.

The steak, I had asked for medium. I know it was thin, but it was definately well done. I didn't mind, but it was a dissapointment. The fries were really good though.

The chocolate souffle was like a lava cake. I liked it, but it was very dense on the bottom. Not too sure why.

The service was not outstanding. I wasn't yet finished food. I had it in my hand and the waiter came and took my plate away. My friend had half a cheesecake left, he joking asked if anyone else at the table that wanted to finish it and rushed it away.

The restaurant was not full and was not busy at all. Not too sure why it was such a rush to send us on our way.

Ambiance is not extrordinary, but a pity that everything else didn't work for me.

Don't think I will be coming back.

Incredible view, service was great, but that it!
Submitted Monday, May 10, 2010 - 2:45pm [Dine in]

Went out for DOV. The food was really good. I had the prawn appetizer, as I though there wasn't much to pick from. The pork ribs just fell off the bone. I didn't need a knife, but I thought it was a little bland. Dessert was small, but really good. Overall, I didn't think the food was especially outstanding to want to go back.

Service was pretty outstanding. The waiter was very attentive and he was cleaning the glasses as were sitting there watching him, waiting for our food.

I thought the value was quite reasonable as it was dine out Vancouver, but I don't think I will go there for a regular menu.

May not return.

Cozy, but a good place to dine and mingle.
Submitted Monday, May 10, 2010 - 2:36pm [Dine in]

Was here for DOV and it was pretty good.

When I walked in, I was taken back how small the restaurant was, but the layout was in a way that we were cozy and wasn't cramped or anything. We weren't sitting on top of each other and I thought for sure we would end up in someone elses conversation. For much of a surprise, this was not the case at all.

The beef tenderloin carpacio was really good. The broth they had with the fish was a little on the salty side, but all in all, really good. The dessert was stunning as well.

Very pleased. Definately going back.

Food and value is the only thing to go for.......
Submitted Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - 12:26pm [Dine in]

When I got to this place, I was a little reluctant to walk in. It was nothing pretty, or outstanding looking, but I was surprised by the food that was served.

I heard that they were famous for their curry brisket and hai nan chicken. They were right. OMG it was so good. There was a reason why they sell their curry sauce for $3.00 a bowl. Mmmmmm.......... They chicken sauce was so good too.

The bill was not expensive at all. Very economical.

Their ambiance is not the greatest, but for the food that they serve, I didn't really care.

This may be one my regular hang outs.

This place is wonderful for lunch.

A couple of people went for lunch and I had the seafood club sandwich. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!

The little waiter we had was really nice and really professional with everything. She came several times to check up on us and made sure we were okay.

The value was a little on the expensive side, but it was well worth it.

The ambiance was very nice and definately showed a seafood atmosphere.

Will definately go back!!!!

Best donuts ever.......
Submitted Tuesday, February 9, 2010 - 2:50pm [Dine in]

I knew about Lee's from an article that I read. I decided to stop by, when I went on my little olympic outing. OMG.....it was so.......good!!!

The honey glazed donut was still hot.

I thought the price was a little expensive for a donut, but well worth it.

I had a lemon filled donut. The filling was really good, and the donut itself was very fluffy.

Definately going back!!!
