Nice New Dig
Submitted Friday, July 20, 2012 - 3:10pm [Dine in]

It's a new building, but a staircase to climb, but nice.

The environment is relaxing and nice. With servers that are friendly.

I had the mushroom omelette, that came with the potatoes and the toast. The salsa was a good touch, which made the meal pretty amazing and very filling as well.

Good food. That's it!
Submitted Friday, July 20, 2012 - 2:28pm [Dine in]

Went to this restaurant, based on Guy Fieri's show. The food was quite tasty, but not really well versed in chinese food to base on what kind of chinese food this is.

I had the Dan-Dan Noodles and the Xiao-Long Bao and they were both really good.

I had asked for water, quite a few times, and the servers were a little too busy to refill water.

For a chinese restaurant, I think it was a little overpriced and the portions were a little small.

The restaurant was very clean, but a also, a regular chinese restaurant.

Parking was horrible in the area. Unless prepared to walk, bring lots of change for parking.

Quite the little experience

When I got to the door, I was a little taken back. What? A cafeteria of a home?

It was cafeteria style seating. I was surprised that people come, just to eat. Run by Japanese people, service was great. Very polite people.

Tried the salmon sashimi and the assorted tempura. Both really good. When I saw, what I thought was a piece of sweet potatoe tempura, I took a bite, to find out that this was a cauliflower tempura. Wasn't oily at all.

The chicken karage donburi was boneless and REALLY good!

The deep fried ice cream looked really good, but too full to try it. There were a couple of news articles on this place, and about their deep friend ice cream. Next time, is a must try!

Good but not great!
Submitted Monday, May 14, 2012 - 12:55pm [Dine in]

We were here for a mother's day lunch. We asked for a table to 5 for outside, but they said that the tables outside are only for a table for 4, and pretty cramped for 5. Another group came for a table for 5 and they put 2 tables together for them. Hmmm........

We ordered the platter, steamed mussels and crab cakes. The ice tea I ordered was so sweet, I watered it down, several times. But the rest of the food was good. All the fish on the fish and chips platter was good. The fries were well seasoned. The calamari was not the traditional, but also good. Crab cakes and mussels were pretty outstanding.

The next table had the seafood hotpot and the dungeness crab benny, which looked really good. Will go back and try, next time.

Combos no more
Submitted Monday, May 14, 2012 - 12:06pm [Dine in]

I am very disappointed that they have eliminated the combos. Now, you will need to order your burger and fries seperately. The only combos they have, are the kids menu combos and the special of the day.

I was there and ordered the kids burger combo, because I find that the burgers there are a little too big for me. The lady told me "is it for you ma'am? If so, you can't do that, we can offer you the fat burger, it's the same", but you can't order it as a combo, everything seperate. And then, I the portions for the onion rings are half the size of what they use to be.

Very disappointed. Never going back.

Extremely Disappointed
Submitted Thursday, May 10, 2012 - 12:32pm [Dine in]

As mentioned above, this restaurant is operated by Korean people. This is not an issue for me, but to my surprise, this place is rated pretty high for what they could offer.

I had ordered an Uni cone and it was not fresh, but the sad part of it, is that the seaweed was soggy. I also ordered the tempura udon. The soup was full of MSG, but the tempura was battered with stale breadcrumbs and fried in old oil. I was a little taken back.

The spicy tuna roll was small, but also with sobby seaweed. Then, to top it all off, the Don Katsu Don, was also breaded with stale breadcrumbs.

The house was kinda cute, and the service was okay, but I can't see myself returning here for another dining experience.

A little different
Submitted Monday, April 30, 2012 - 12:27pm [Dine in]

When I walked in, this looked like a regular diner, nothing out of the ordinary. The booths was fun to sit in. But the pac man game was a ride through memory lane.

I figured a burger was something, I really wanted to try. It was really good. It wasn't ridiculously big, like other diners, a salad came with it. The Hanover Cure was good as well. Egg was perfectly cooked with the sauce. The potatoes were delicious as well.

Finally, the portabello fries, OMG!!! It was really good and the sauce was very tasty as well. Yum. yum, yum! Athough a little on the pricey side, for me.

Not so high end service for a high end place
Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 1:31pm [Dine in]

I have been to many Milestones. This has been the outright worst service from this chain, I have ever had.

The workers seems to be there to socialize. Asking them for anything, is an incovinence to them. For a high end neighborhood, so not so high end of a service.

Disappointing. Never going back to this specific location. I'm sure with Milestones, there are other locations that are worth my while going.

Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 1:22pm [Dine in]

This restaurant is really out of my way, but I decided to go because I had a coupon. Once the coupon was shown, everything went downhill. I think it was really not worth their while, so they gave us horrible service. Why offer a coupon deal, if you are so unhappy about it?

We waited for our food for over an hour. Never came to apologize or even a refill of complementary chips. When I asked for salsa, it was extra charge. The man that served us just didn't care and looked at us with disgust everytime we asked him for the food. Very disaapointed and never coming back.

There was a very long line up. When I got my pulled pork sandwich, OMG! Well worth the weight.

The crispy pork belly was really good as well. A little bland, but with the rest of the mean, it suites, quite well.

Most people there had the pancakes. The pulled pork pancakes looked like a hit. Next time I will definately try it.

Quite impressed. Their food was quite fresh and the servers there were very nice and polite. The big list of specials on the wall was quite attractive of what to order, on top of their elaborate menu. Some stuff on the menu was quite different, but good eats.

Definately going back.

MSG Galore
Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 1:08pm [Dine in]

This is not a place to return. After I had my meal, I can definately taste the MSG after taste. It almost feels like they put nothing in their food but MSG. Their service were a couple of old chinese ladies yelling at each other. Hmmm.........

The feeling afterwards to is pretty awful.

This doesn't look like a fast food restaurant on the outside, but it sure seems like it, when you get in.

The waitresses are nice, but it's almost like, hurry , get out of here.

Chicken was quite small and dry for my liking. However, the burger was humungous.

Definately will not go back.

Part Baked Bread
Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 12:56pm [Take-out]

I have tried a variety of baked goods here. They are really good, but in opinion overpriced.

Although the part baked sourdough bread is overpriced as well, I love the warm bread when I take it home and bake it.

The cakes are a little dry in my opinion, but I wasn't too sure how long it has been in the display case.

Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 12:52pm [Dine in]

I have been meaning to try this place. A lot of my friends have recommended this place, so I decided to try this place out. Pretty impressive.

I went on a weekday, not much people when I walked in, but it filled up quite quickly for lunch. I like the face that they would ask if you want hot or cold beverage. Hot beverage is tea and the cold beverage was peach green tea, on the house. The girl there was REALLY nice. She was very patient and explained what I was asking about.

We had the curry beef brisket with rice. Very tasty. The satay seafood chow mein was a little bland for my liking. The indian roti was average. The Hainanese Chicken was boneless and really good. The dipping sauce is really tasty as well.

Will definately return!!!

A pleasant surprise!
Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 12:48pm [Dine in]

I must admit, when I walked in, I was a little skeptical. Usually a vietnamese restaurant, the smell hits you, the minute you walk in. Then, when I saw the menu, Agedashi Tofu, Tempura and Edamame. Hmmmm.....for a while.

We ordered the Charbroiled Brouchettes (pork) and Spring Roll (#29), Pagado Special Beef Noodle Soup and the Mango Blended Fruit Shake. The food came and OMG. The pork brouchettes were veeery tasty. The beef noodle had very nice soup and the shake was soooooo good, but a little small for the price.

Overall, great suprise and most of all, no MSG, or not much anyway. Don't feel all thristy, or weird after taste when I left.

Service was really good as well.

Great hole in wall!
Submitted Monday, April 23, 2012 - 12:45pm [Dine in]

This place was a whole in the wall with a hand full of tables. I heard a lot of great things about it, and worried about not getting a table. Was there at 5:30 and it wasn't a problem.

The dinner for 2 for $22 was a great deal. A choice of pizza and pasta on the menu, with a ceasar salad and garlic toast. The ceasar salad was good, and the garlic toast was topped with a little bit of dill, which was a good touch. The pizza of choice was Chicken Pesto Pizza was sooo....good, loved the crust, made by scratch. The spaghetti with meatballs was good as well. Meatballs made by scratch.

The crab cake looked really good, with lots of crab. People at the next table had the Linguine with prawns in white wine sauce. Looked amazing!

Very tasty experience!

I quite enjoy this restaurant. I have been here for lunch. I had the fish and chips. It was pretty good, I was impressed with their bread/cracker bit before the food came.

Went again for dinner. VERY impressed. Bought a coupon for 2 appies, 2 entrees and 1 dessert to share with coffee/tea. The crabcakes were outstanding, which is quite popular.. I had the tenderloin with dungeness crab, mmmmm........ The dessert - napoleon, just wonderful. The tea I chose was mountain berry, which I smelled it on the way to my table.

Definately go back!

A new gen in the neighborhood
Submitted Wednesday, September 7, 2011 - 1:42pm [Dine in]

Very surprised of how this neighborhood has developed. Right by the quiet water and an open patio for the sun.

Food was really good. A little surprised that the burgers were served alone without a side. For a $12 burger, I may have expected a little more. Had the Man's Man burger. Didn't amuse me like some bloggers had mentioned. Order garlic fries on the side. Was good, but in my opinion, was not outstanding. The drunkin mini doughnuts were truely outstanding. The dips were incredible.

Service was really good.

I was a little bit surprised. When I walked in, I was a little skeptical and not sure what I had gotten myself into But I was pleasant suprised by the their Roast Lamb Sandwich, which was pretty incredible. Apparently, it hit the spot quite well.

I had the chicken quesadilla. I wasn't as heavy as most that I have had. A lot of avacado, so it was really good.

Service was quick good. We had a window seat, so looking out the window in the early afternoon on a sunny day was quick refreshing.
