This place is awful!

The food was mediocre, service was terrible, no smiles whatsoever (they couldn't get people out door fast enough) & the ambiance was awful. I felt like I was stuck in 1982.

I would only recommend going if it's 2am and you're starving. And even then I'd say go to McDonalds!

Chicken Shawarma Wrap...ohhh ya!
Submitted Friday, January 13, 2006 - 3:45pm [Dine in]

I absolutely love this place! I first discovered it through a friend who took me there y ears ago. I always have the chicken shawarma wrap...it's absolutely SUPERB!

The restaurant is very tiny (the only seating is approx 6 barstools by the window). I suggest (on a warm day) take your order to go & head down to English Bays...it's only steps away!

The Keg ROCKS!
Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 5:49pm [Dine in]

Can you ever go wrong when dining at the Keg? I think not. I get a warm fuzzy feeling each & every time I visit. I have never been disappointed.

The service is always fantastic, the wait staff are on key & dang, that food is irresistable! I love going in on a Friday after work, ordering a few drinks while perusing the menu. The staff do not pressure you to hurry up!!

I love it, love it, love it!!!!

A great place for drinks & food after work
Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 5:10pm [Dine in]

I have been to Legends several times & have yet to be disappointed.

The staff are usually fast & friendly & the food is great (especially the Beef Dip -- yum, yum!!). It's great because if you don't want to listen to the noise of the pub, you can scoot over to the restaurant side & relax. Don't worry sports fans...there's still a big tv to watch the game on!

If you're a smoker, they have a covered & heated patio that's open all year.

The building is old, therefore isn't necessarily the nicest looking. But don't let that scare you away! Give it a try.

I do not recommend!
Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 4:46pm [Dine in]

Let me start by saying I love Thai food.

I ordered take out from here last week. Ughh, what a mistake!!

You can stand there for 20 minutes with a million servers passing you by yet NO ONE seems to see you?!?!

Anyways, I paid $20 for the yellow chicken curry dish & rice. Brought it home opened it up & it was BROWN! I seem to remember yellow curry being yellow! It had no veggies!! Just chicken & potatoes. Where were the peppers? Where were the carrots? It tasted like shite.

There is no comparison to the Thai House on Robson St. Their curry is yellow & packed w/veggies.

WOW

Celebrated a birthday here with a few friends. The food was incredible! A little pricey, but boy was it worth it. The only problem was that one of my friends ordered the chicken entree. When it arrived he took a bite & realized the chicken was not thoroughly cooked. The waiter apologized profusely & immediately sent it back. The chef was appalled by this & took care of his meal & our drinks for the rest of the evening (all 6 of us) and we were drinking a lot! Needless to say, I'll be back

Not too shabby

This is a cute little restaurant tucked away.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. Our waiter was a tad creepy (literally right in your face), & seemed a little frazzled (even though he wasn't busy)...maybe he was new!

The decor is a little dated, but that's to be expected. Sometimes the best food comes out of unexpected places!

Cactus Club has been a favorite of mine for a long time! I come out more than satisfied each & every time. Try their Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl.....mmmmm!! The Bellini's are great too! Service has always been on key. The music is loud because it's a fun, energetic, young, hip place to go! If you want quiet, eat at home!

Rude Staff
Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 3:38pm [Dine in]

Decent food, definitely nothing over the top. Staff are incredibly rude, especially when you call to make a reservation. They think they are doing you a HUGE favor by allowing you to eat at their establishment. The only reason this place is still in business is because of it's location. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice, but there are many more places in Vancouver that are much, much better. I won't be back!

Cheap drinks & Good eats!
Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 3:31pm [Dine in]

I really enjoyed this place! Went there with a few friends for the first time. Drinks (mainly beer) were so reasonably priced it was ridiculous! Imported bottles of beer for less than $4. I thought maybe it was like their menu...you purchase everything separately...wondered if I'd have to pay $2 for glass to put the beer in, but Noooooo! I think that was the best thing on the menu! The food was good, although wasn't aware that you pay for your carbs, veggies etc. separately. Still, not a bad deal! The wok seared veggies ROCK! Ambiance was good (BUSY). I'll be back.

Submitted Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 12:30pm [Dine in]

There is nothing special about any Milestone's whatsoever. Everything is just OK. I have tried a number of items on the menu & none of them have ever WOW'd me & trust me...I love food. I do however like the ambiance of the Robson & Richmond locations. I would probably go back to the bar only.

It's all good!

I have never had a problem at this particular Earls. The food is ALWAYS fantastic (especially the chicken caesar salad) & the service has been fast with friendly staff. It can be a little noisy, but what can you expect from an open restaurant? Stay away from the Earls on Robson St...everytime I've gone the same friend finds a hair in her food!!!! Yuck!
