Thai House Restaurant1116 Robson Street, Vancouver
The worst pad thai ever
Submitted Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 5:42pm [Dine in]

We both ordered the pad thai and were both disappointed. I've had good pad thai and average pad thai in the past. This one to me tasted like ketchup on noodles. Reminded me of old classmates in public school who put ketchup and cut up weiners in their mac and cheese. yuck.
Service however, was friendly, and prompt.

Samba Brazilian Steak House1122 Alberni Street, Vancouver
All you can eat carnivore buffet
Submitted Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 5:35pm [Dine in]

My fiance loves the idea of all-you-can-eat-meat and has been to a few Brazilian-style restaurants in other cities. This one definitely rates as one of his favorites. The salad bar has adequate selection to temporarily stave off the meat sweats and service is friendly and prompt. I enjoyed the sirloin selections the most out of all the meat offerings. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Very good restaurant
Submitted Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 5:27pm [Dine in]

Arrived at the restaurant 40 minutes before closing on a weeknight. Excellent food, excellent service from the waitress-they did not rush us to leave before closing. Portion sizes were also large. I would definitely go back to dine here again.

Kalypso Restaurant & Tapas Bar1323 Robson Street, Vancouver
Good restaurant, good service

Excellent food, the male waiter who served us was friendly, prompt and professional. The patio is also very nice for a view of Robson. I would definitely recommend and revisit this restaurant for reasonably priced tasty Greek food.

Not worth the money
Submitted Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 5:11pm [Dine in]

Food was good, but not a real Italian restuarant-we left hungry!!
Very disappointing portion sizes for the amount of money paid-mains are appetizer portions. A trip to McD's afterwards was necessary. Save your money for a more worthy restaurant.
