I've been going to Szechuan Chongqing since the late 80's, though less so since I left East Van, and it never fails to satisfy. Last night our group of 8 went for New Year's Eve dinner. The place was packed with line ups out the door. We had our usual favorites: wonton in spicy peanut sauce, chicken in chilli garlic sauce with spinach, ginger beef, along with some new things. Everything was excellent, AS ALWAYS. I've eaten a variety of Chinese foods all over the world and I really don't understand some of the other reviews of this place. All I can say is that if your idea of Chinese food is chunks of stuff battered and deep fried with orange gloop on it, I'm sure you can find better places. But if you want the best ginger beef or Szechuan green beans anywhere, go here.

If your idea of great Chinese food is fried rice and stir fry with black bean sauct, find somewhere else. But if you like Szechuan food, this is the place. Our family loves the ginger beef, wonton in spicy peanut sauce,Szechuan green beans, sweet and sour fish, peppery chicken and all the chow meins we've tried. Food is delivered quickly and hot. The restaurant itself doesn't have much ambiance but at least it is clean.
