Service was so so (it was packed and we waited 25 mins, even with a reservation) but the food was damn delicious. The beef rolls are to die for! The noodles were tasty too... but did I mention their beef rolls? I can eat them, and eat them, and eat them. Great place to go for some good chinese food. Will be back.
I use to go here all the time 2-3 years ago and really loved this place. I dropped by recently and it seems like new owners took over. Food was very bland and salty, and when we told them that, they didn't really care or offer to replace the food. Won't be back.
Went to this place and it was great. Let's get serious: this place is not a Tojo's where the decor is great. It's ok.
However, the food was wonderful. Had the Pink Godzilla and the Caterpillar role. Wow. Most creative rolls I've ever had. Also ordered the Salmon/Tuna nigiri. Pieces were big and fresh.
This is the best Japanese run place that I've come across in terms of value. I'm a fan. Service was a bit slow and my buddy didn't get his roll until we were ready to go. Oh well... I'll still come here. See you soon, Mr. Aoki!
PS: The Chef, Mr. Aoki, was wearing a Pikachu mask tonight for Halloween. Love it!
This place is one of the best japanese restaurants I've been to. There's a huge lineup all the time but once you get in, the wait's worth it. You're served by some 40+ year japanese waitresses (it's very cute!) and the food is outstanding. The nigiri is fresh. We loved some of their specials, like the caramel eggplant. It's not as cheap as some other places in town, like Sushi Garden, but this place is solid and AUTHENTIC. Would be back here sooner if I had more money.
Fish on Rice is a terrible restaurant. Went here with a large group of friends 2 weeks ago and everything was terrible. The service was slow. Waiters weren't to be seen. The sashimi tasted old. The food took forever to come. And we didn't get the food we ordered!
We weren't impressed at all, and I'd suggest going to Sushi Garden, Tanpopo or some other place instead. This place is terrible and I won't be back.
I went here with some coworkers about 3 weeks back and found it a little disappointing. We ordered 2 Elvis platters and were excited about some serious meat feasting, but when it was all said and done, we were all a little disappointed.
Decor: Very cool.
Drinks: Like the self serve.
Food: A little disappointing. The ribs and pulled pork were great! Beans, coleslaw, cornbread and the sausages were disappointing. Good but not great.
I go here all the time for their lunch specials, starting at $7.00. The value is incredible!
Took my family here a week ago for the Combo for 8 and it delivered.
Favorites include: spring rolls, the yellow curry, and the chicken with cashew nuts.
Go here for lunch or for dinner. Service is excellent and value is superb!
