dissappointing management

After residing in Ladner for 30 years, my husband and I have an inexplicable addiction to Niagra pizza. This is truly the best around - tons of cheese - can't make it for less. BUT!!!! We've had way too many bad experiences with the order mix-ups, the delivery person trying to find our address - the same address that we've been at for years - and not to mention, the owner's inability to understand English as to get the order right. When the owner was made aware that our order was misunderstood (because of the language barrier), he proceeded to argue with us as to what we had ordered. On another occasion, we got our order an hour and a half after ordering it and our French Onion soup was spilled and soaked into one of our pizzas, and that's how it was delivered to us. When we phoned and complained, they said they'd send another one out. 45 minutes later, we called to see what was happening, and they said they were waiting for enough orders for the delivery person to go out. In other words, it wasn't worth their while to deliver to us unless it was on their way. We've tried not to patronize them, but they really do make the best pizza in town. It's just too bad that we've had sooo many bad experiences with them. Eventually, we just cannot help but to go back.

After reading other reviews on this site, we decided to try this new Italian restaurant as we loved Anton's and have heard that the Italian Tomato was very comparable. We were very pleased with our personable waitress who was probably the highlight of our evening. The drinks were expensive and so was the food. We also had to 'ask' for our bread which was microwaved and chewy - very substandard and a dissappointment as bread is very cheap. Our pasta arrived, delivered by the hostess and when she grated the fresh parmesan on our meal, and we asked for more, we got a deep tired sigh from her, like we were putting her out. Overall, we enjoyed the quality of pasta, but would not put the Italian Tomato in our top ten.
