(3) (3) (3) (3) (3)Went back to Bowen and sadly forgot to make a reservation at Blue Eyed Marys. They were full. I remembered reading the reviews here about Tuscany and we decided to try it. Big mistake! All the food tasted of processed garlic and oregano. The service was okay, but the "beautiful garden" is partly a parking lot! Lots of people eating cheap though. I guess that's the appeal. If you can't get into Blue Eyed Mary's grab a hot dog and go home!
Well, I submitted this place so there will be some repitition.Blue eyed marys is a great little restaurant on Bowen Island. I've been there about 8 times over the last ten years. They've been serving local seasonal food since long before it became trendy. Every time I go the owner greets me like a freind, he even remembers where we sat last time. His wife is the Chef. The food is really excellent and the entire experience is unpretentious.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. I't the only reason we go to Bowen any more.
