Nice View of river...poor Service when sitting by river

This place seemed really quite a catch..until we walked in.....We were made to wait in line..(really)??? at a pub ?? there were no crowds..at all...all the tables on the patios were for 4/somes only..and most people there were in 2's..so tables outside were completely out of sequence. We sat inside by a window. and had cold air blown on us the entire time, we moved, and still felt like we were being blown away !!! The food was bland at best..very obviuos, it was deep fried, fried, fried..had beet soup..it was barely even warm. The atmophere was old and seemed unkept..then I visited the ladies room......so disgusting.. I was afraid to even think about the kitchen... wont go back for sure.....not a good experience..felt overall dirty..

When i walked in, it was a bit confusing, i was with my sister, there was what seemed like an upper area..and lower area..we sat in the upper, as it seemed brighter. we sat..and we..sat..and..we sat. No body gave us the time of day..there was contact with the customers on the lower half. We had to get up and ask for help..then we were treated as though we inconvienienced them. Once we ordered and got our food, (and warm pints of beer) it took a while..the wings were gross and greasy...the plate had sried stuck on food from i suppose the customer before.... and the surroundings, really smelled poor. Like there was mold ..in the walls. Although my sister suggested that is was from smoking and past cigartettes..that also makes sense.

Just Found this Great Place...After Moving to the Area!!

Moved to the Tri City area...My Brother in law suggested I give Samz a try. This is home away from home...

My wife, and sister have gone afew times now. We are from the California area, and have many experiences in many neighbourhood eateries/Bistros. We are impressed!!!! There was a instant greeting when we entered, Did not wait but for 30 seconds, to have a server greet us. The games..(football) which i am getting used to Canadian football !! Were on the T.V.'s. ..What amazed me most was the relationship i observed with the patrons who knew each other, and the manner in which the staff/servers treated people. They cared, laughed, took orders, were competent..(as i observed) I enjoyed the food, Had Nachos, and Perogies with my group...great food ..really warm service... Coming from "south" this is a warm welcome, and nice change...My wife, and i and Family will certainly be back. Who ever Mr. Samz is ..Thanks!!!

Just dont feel the Service or Knowledge here
Submitted Tuesday, July 19, 2011 - 10:42pm [Dine in]

Its a young team..nothing wrong with that, just seems, like they dont have alot of business knowledge...long line ups...long service for your food if you want to enjoy indoors...I just dont enjoy this location.

It seems hard pressed (no pun intended) for them to get orders right. I feel bad for the kids behind the counter..they really need a strong leader !
