After stumbling across the Irish Heather whilst walking around Gastown I was surprised to find much more on offer than the tatty, run down decor would lead you to believe.
After a small wait (it was a Saturday after all), I was seated upstairs. We ordered from the menu. The food was prompt but the service above all was impecable. Our server was entertaining, efficient and very helpful. It was strange though to receive such great service from an english person in something so proudly Irish.
This is a place we would definitely return to again. If not for the food and ageing decor, a great guinness and outstanding service.
