Good food at a good price

I've visited this place several times. My normal pick is the chicken curry and it is better than most Indian restaurants on the North Shore. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food is excellent value. My only advice to the owners is to ensure consistency as one curry I had seemed to be lacking in the quality of the meat - although this seems to be a once-off as it's been ok since. I thoroughly recommend Cafe Caribana.

Everything was fine about the restaurant - good food, excellent service and a pleasant environment. Unfortunately there is one thing I cannot stand and that is being ripped off. The meals are hardly cheap - two of us had a relatively quick meal and a couple of beers - totalling around eighty dollars including a good tip. I noticed an item of 60 cents on my bill and it turned out that I had been charged extra for the mustard I asked for (I had steak). Apparently they also charge for ketchup. I don't remember seeing it priced on the menu, although maybe it was. I complained to the manager but what's the point....... I hate hidden costs, and this is simply petty - especially since the meals are not cheap. I'm NOT going back.
