Upstairs the new lounge, er Vodka bar is hilarious!! Not one Vodka everyone and there dog hasnt seen before at outrageous prices for half ounce tasters!! Maybe 5 years ago a Vodka bar would have still been cool, but I think that trend passed along time ago, unless your in Vegas I guess. also there are other bars in Yaletown who have twice the selection of Vodkas and other types of liquor. The room already looks dated to other new lounges in the city!! Food was OK, same old, cocktail list not worth a read. Go back to check out the 19-21 yr olds behind the bar thats about it!!
Went for lunch a while ago, service was cactus standard....gigly blonde got our orders right but paid more attention to the nerdy brokers trying to show everybody in the bar they were drinking Beringer!!, way too go!! Food came, good timing, but was sub par. For the price your now paying for lunch there,terrible value, way better spots around...i.e. Boneta, Cafe Medina, Fortes, list goes on. Im sure the Joeys on the way wont change much, same thing...
One of my favorite places in the city. Service is always great, very cool room in an interesting part of town. Make sure to try one of the types of mussels, and the lamb shank. The place is always very busy, so if you want a quiet dinner not rcomended. Cocktails and great Belgian beer list are a must there!!
Went for a dinner with the family. This place has been around forever, and is authentic mexican. Way better than Las margaritas, they should hardly be considered good mexican. The food was great, had an enchilada, salsa with the chips so good! If you want old school authentic mexican with great prices cant go wrong.
Since cactus bought this place it is just another CC, i.e 19 year olds serving half decent over priced food to 19 year olds. Steamworks before that wasnt anything special, but at least it was unique! Cactus is the same crap everywhere you go!!
This is the spot for the best late night eats in the city!! Its small and always busy, if you dont like that dont go, for me the ambience is great! The duck is one of the best in the city, and for the price bin is one of the best deals in town!! Great wine list, and a small but nice bottle beer selection.
Went again last night, Tapastree is always a place to go for guaranteed great food, casual neighborhood atmosphere, and great service! Love the lamb chops, a steal at $5 a piece!! Always great new featured items to try, definately a hidden gem in the city!! Will be back again and again!!
