My 11 year old son is a little foodie (loves the Food Network) and was begging me to take him to Meat & Bread. He really wanted to try their bacon ice cream. We got there a little after 11am and there was still plenty of seating. We both wanted the porchetta sandwich but we also wanted to try other things on their interesting but limited menu. So I relented and ordered a meatball sandwich instead. We shared a borscht soup. The sandwiches were delicious. We particularly enjoyed the porchetta sandwich the crispiness of the pork skin was melt in your mouth yummy. A very handsome (Australian?) server overheard me telling my son the borscht soup was too salty so he went over to the cook to enquire about the soup. The cook tried it and shook his head that there was nothing wrong with the soup. The server came back to us to apologize anyways and offered me a salad instead. I was so full from the sandwich I refused but thought that was a really awesome gesture. I was impressed. My son still wanted his bacon ice cream sandwich so I gave him some money to go buy one. The server saw my son in line and gave him the ice cream sandwich no charge. My son loved the ice cream sandwich and says he would come back for more. The ice cream was good but bacon flavor was more a novelty for me. When we left the restaurant was packed and there was a line-up to the door. I would recommend going before 11:30am. We highly recommend Meat & Bread.

We had an event catered at the Lakeside Grill. It was a wonderful evening. The food was decent for a buffet and the ambiance great.
We prepaid for the food, wine and puch. But when the bar tab came we were shocked. We were appallingly over charged. We asked them to review it and they came back to say they were a business and do not over charge. This forced us into the awkward situation of asking our guests what they had to drink that evening. This was our closest family and friends. They would not lie to us. In the end the difference between what we were charged and what we consumed was huge. We went back to Mayfair Lakes and they would not admit any wrong doing so basically they were calling me and my family and friends liars.
Do not have events catered here. They cheated me, they could do the same to you.
