We had a lovely dinner at Desi Junction. I've eaten a lot of Indian food, and this was close to being the best. All the standards are there, but they also have their specialties which add a little twist to the traditional Butter Chicken and Vindaloo. Chilli Paneer had lots of crisp red peppers and onions and just enough heat, Eggplant Bhartha was rich and complex and the Malai Kofta was creamy and soothing. Good recommendations from our delightful waitress for a vegetarian meal (in deference to one of our guests). I'm a confirmed carnivore and I didn't even miss the meat! The service was attentive without being pushy and the Maitre d' followed up to make sure that we enjoyed everything. He even gave us "Free Lunch" tickets to encourage us to try their lunch buffet some day. I'm sure we will! Dinner for three (and leftovers!) with wine and superb chai for $60?
Ok, so the decor is not spectacular, but the joyful service made for a great time!
