Authentic persian food
Submitted Thursday, June 7, 2012 - 7:44am [Dine in]

I went to Zeitoon with a few friends and ended up ordering the Grilled Chicken Skewer and Beef Kabob. I customized my rice order from plain rice to Zeresh Polow (Basmati rice with Saffron and Barberries). I also ordered the persian yogurt drink with mint (Doogh). It was a bit of a wait to get the orders prepared as it is made to order, but it was well worth it.

The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken and beef kabob had very good flavour and seasoning, all the ingredients tasted fresh. The meat was tender and juicy, and was grilled perfectly. The bread was fresh from the oven and the Saffron rice with barberries was excellent.

Overall, this is a nice spot to dine-in. It is a little on the pricier side but you do get nice portions that hit the spot. It was busy when I went, so sometimes it was hard to get the hostess attention. Will definitely visit again.

A really nice coffee shop with a nice patio area. The owner is friendly and helpful. I tried the Caffè macchiato and it was very good flavour. They have a wide variety of menu items to try, I'll definitely stop-by and try their Cappuccino the next time I am around.
