Great food bad service
Submitted Sunday, January 25, 2009 - 6:41am [Dine in]

My seniors family member love to go to this place on the weekend for DimSum which I think the food are good and the price are resonable. However, the service are extemely bad. Starting with the manager which I think he is the owner as well. Unfriendly and ignore (maybe because he think that he have enough business). Servers and other cashier/Hostess are also the same. I only appreciate the lady server (only one) and a tall server that I think they are more on the friendly side.

Still great Sushi But great change inside

I am a regular customer here for last 1yr 1/2. I enjoy their sushi very much with great price. Always fresh and busy with friendly service.

Wah!!!!! This place have change alot. New wall painting, new decoration, new Lighting, new funitures and new set-up. This place have been totally revised to a great eat-in restaurant. First I though that it must be a new owner but No! they are the same owner and same friendly staff. I was talking to the owner and he said that some of his client suggested that he should do something about his place because it is too small and uncomfortable for eat-in so he closed down the place for big renovation ( no wonder I could not get my delivery during Christmas). Good for the guys who is seriouse about his business and talking the feed bach from the customers seriously. He also mention that there would be a new menu and he is expending his catering business.

Now I have another choice to eat out with friends. I definately recommand this place for sushi.

Wish this place great success and looking forward for their new menu.

Good food and Good service!!
Submitted Saturday, June 24, 2006 - 9:13am [Dine in]

This is the best Thai Restaurant that we been in the last 8+ years. My wife used to live in the area therefore, we went there very often. The food are excellent such as Tom Yum Gon, Noodle salad (order every visit), Pad Thai, Appertise Combo (Great selection of everything, and Green Curry (Order everytime). We also enjoy their service very much. Eventhough we are living in Vancouver area, we often drive there for the Thai food. It is hard to find places that could provide both good food and good service with a reasonable price all at once. Good luck.

Great little family restaurant

I highly recommend this place to those you love Samosa. This family run restaurant have the Best Samosa in town that I have ever have. Their samosa pastry is so crispy that you could have 5 in a row (The max I have is 3 because I want to save my appy for other food.) their butter Chicken is also delicious. Don't expect too much on the service and other nice set-up because this is running by family. The server is very friendly but when busy, she have to help out the kitchen as well. Good luck!!

Samosa Garden Restaurant3502 Kingsway, Vancouver
Bad service and food is down hill
Submitted Saturday, June 24, 2006 - 8:52am [Dine in]

Every time we want East Indian Food, we would think of Samosa Garden because we like their set-up and the food. However, I was very disappointed from my last few visit. The service is so bad and the buffet's selection are limited. However, their food are still great but not enought with the price that they are charging. I have switch my place to Spicy Grill down the street on Kingsway and 41. This place is small but the food are great. Their Samosa is the best I have ever try. Highly recommend but I heard that they are not doing well and is planning to move. I hope that this would not happen because I live in the neighboorhood. Good luck!!

Friendly Sushi chef but not fast enough for service
Submitted Saturday, June 24, 2006 - 8:39am [Dine in]

I have to agree with the pervious feedback. This place is not for large party and it is seem to me that it is not a restaurant but a take out place with advance order. The food is good and standard but the service is weak. the server does not speak a lot of English but the sushi chef is very friendly (must be the owner) Hope that they could improve their service and speed on the food out come.

Still good sushi

I have been to this place many time. Too bad that it is far away from my place but I still try them when I pass by the area. The food are still great for many years and I like their special fish that they sometime put on the board (Sometime it is unavailable because of limited order). I try to avoid line up so I try to order before lunch or late after lunch. Service is OK. Would order again when I am in the area.

Friendly smile but not much sushi
Submitted Thursday, June 22, 2006 - 8:40am [Dine in]

I pass by Kingsway alot and was atracted by the pictures and the sign on the street so I decide to give it a try. I ordered a California Roll and few Salmon Nigiri. I almost did not see the filling of my roll but only rice on some pieces. My salmon are so thinly clice that I think I could blow it of the rice. Friendly smile but I think the couple is not speaking too much English because I was trying to make conversation while I waited for my order but not much responded. Oh Well! another Japanese sushi house.

I have been to this place and I have to admit that the sushi is good. Very traditional style and If I was corrected, it is Korea mix. Some very interesting Maki (Roll). Very Clean (Very important) and feel comfortable eat in. Mainly for take out. The Sushi Chef are very prolite. Recommend!!!

Need to choose between Stuffing or Enjoying Sushi
Submitted Thursday, June 22, 2006 - 8:18am [Dine in]

This is once of the busiest sushi place in town. I have been there many time in the past 4 years but have been stop for sometime. I am totally agree that this place is serving a too big of sushi and roll which I felt like stuff my tummy instead of enjoying the craft of Japanese sushi. for the $$$ and quatity, I rate it #1 but for the enjoyment of sushi, failed. Service is also a big issue for this place, I am totally disappointed with the service (Big Failed). I like the line from one of the participant "grumpy like someone just died" I laught everytime I read it.
