Very Mediocre. Try it once...its enough.

Was looking forward to delicious pasta but was disappointed. The two pasta dishes we ordered tasted bland and was not flavorful. Do the cooks even taste it before serving it? I notice serving portions were not consistent. My dish of spaghetti and Kobe meatballs was 30% less than the dish at the next table (WTH?). Bruschetta sampler was good but might as well ordered a pizza. Service was acceptable as the place was busy due to a pasta special night. The restaurant seemed cramped, dark and very loud. Dont expect a quiet, romantic dinner at this place.

OPA Souvlaki Fail
Submitted Wednesday, June 9, 2010 - 6:58am [Dine in]

I recently visited this place to get my Greek food fix. Having been to other OPA Souvlaki, i must say this is the worse one of all. Service was notable as it was downright rude and arrogant. I felt rushed to order and the person behind the counter seemed annoyed. This made me and my wife feel very unwelcomed. We finally placed our order much to the relief of the counterperson. As for the food, let's just say the food was bland. My chicken souvlaki was overcooked and hard as well as burned. My wife did'nt even enjoy her meal due to the attitude from (probably the owners). I will not be going to anymore OPA franchises.

Better off in the Food Court

This pretentious AYCE sushi joint does not deliver. Seems like they are going through the motions. Food is barely acceptable and they downsize or eliminate some of your orders on purpose. There are other better AYCE sushi places just not in downtown Vancouver. Better off in the food court if you are downtown.

What a party!
Submitted Wednesday, February 6, 2008 - 2:09am [Dine in]

Having read the reviews for this restaurant and being skeptical about the quality and service, we decided to hold a party there for 175 people instead having a cater to a banquet hall. We were overwhelmed by the decent quality of food and the prompt service of the staff. Being such a large group we perhaps taxed most of their resources that night along with the other hundred or so regular patrons. Honestly, the place was probably filled to the limit as there were no seats left and customers were lining up out the door (I've been told that this place is busy on weekends). Amongst the hustle and bustle ,staff were very helpful in accomodating our seating arrangements providing a semi-private area for our party. THIS PLACE IS GREAT FOR LARGE GROUPS. For the price, its not "hotel quality" food but the variety of offerings is above par and tasty. From the hot and hearty soups to the intricate salad bar right to the carved meats, Uncle Willys is an affordable buffet. From our group, 90% say they would return. Thank you Uncle Willys for a great night.
